Whales watching with Eagle Eye - Our Mysl travel team engaged in an exciting whale watching activity in the Mirissa sea on March 18th. The experience was truly amazing and very professional staff. They gave us the best service and they were very friendly. There we were lucky enough to see a blue whale and several pods of dolphins.I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fun and thrilling whale-watching experience!

Enjoyable whale watching cruise - The crew are very friendly and do everything they can to try and make sure everyone is looked after and gets to see any whales that are encountered. The two species that frequent this area are sperm whales and blue whales. Hirusha gladly shared videos of our glimpses of whales with all the tourists. The crew provided light refreshments at both the start and end of the tour. This is a good value whale watching tour for two whale species that are not often encountered in other parts of the world.

Whales and dolphins! - We actually took two trips with these guys on two separate days, and we really enjoyed both trips! Staff were honest from the start - we may be lucky and we may not be, but that’s wildlife! They offered sea sickness tablets to anyone who wanted them, and gave us all a breakfast box and water before we set off. (There were also snacks like cake and fruit after the trip too.) The first trip, we were out for around 4 hours - we saw huge numbers of dolphins, mainly spinner dolphins but there were a few bottlenose too, but no whales. The next day, we were told a whale had been spotted by another boat in the bay, so we were full speed to try and get a look. Unfortunately, one of our boat’s propellers broke down, so we thought that was it. The crew still pressed on, and we managed to see some dolphins, and then by luck, we managed to catch up to and spend a bit of time with a stunning Fin Whale! Wow! I wish we could have stayed longer with the whale, but it did a deep dive, and we know for a fact that these animals can hold their breath for huge amounts of time. The boat then turned back - understandably so, as if we’d gone any further with a broken prop, we may not have made it back. Well done to the crew, and thank you!

Great morning! 😊 - Today we went to sea with the company Eagle Eye Whales Watching and we enjoyed our morning! The appointment was set at 6am for a departure around 7am and everything was very well organized and explained by the staff. We had breakfast, water, fruit and seasickness medicine. Thanks to the boat staff, we managed to observe dolphins, a couple of turtles and a blue whale! It took patience but we are delighted with this experience. The boat was clean and the captain always kept a sufficient and respectful distance from the animals. I recommend this company for your sea trip 😊

An Indian's experience - We had a wonderful time with Eagle Eye Whale Watching. We saw dolphins and whales during our journey. They were nice enough to keep us well fed with cakes, sandwiches and fruits. Hirishu, who guided us on the types of dolphins and whales we saw along with providing tips through the trip was fabulous and extremely helpful and kind. We couldn't recommend this enough. Do check them out if you are ever in Mirissa!

ripoff falsely claiming to be whale watching trips - The chances of seeing a whale on these trips are like 1 percent .All the rain in sri lanka since november has removed the whales food source and they just arent there. Every tour operator from marissa say the same thing we saw whales maybe 2-3 days ago its absolute clap trap. Waste of money for a 4 hour boat ride with nothing to see except dolphins and the emphasis is put onto finding dolphins to provide at least 1 worth while thing to see because whales are not there they have transited through and by some months ago and these boats know this !!! The captain on this boat even ignored a flock of diving birds eating fish in a big bait ball where the whales would actually be and at this point i felt ripped off because getting back into land to pick up the afternoon mugs was more of a priority.!!! There should be a law against falsely claiming to be something you are not and 4.30 am starts for these trips are a joke because of transfer times there and back and the food is absolutely disgusting !!!!
