Adventure Begins in the Heart of the Amazon

Quito - On the first day of this thrilling journey, we’ll head southeast from Quito to the vibrant jungle city of Tena, passing through the Cayambe Coca Ecological Reserve. If the weather permits, you’ll have the opportunity to see the majestic Antisana Volcano (5,753 meters / 18,875 feet).

As we travel, you’ll witness the breathtaking transition from the high Andean landscapes to the lush tropical rainforest.

Cavernas Jumandy - Our first adventure awaits at the Jumandy Caves, where we’ll embark on an underground expedition through stunning stalactites and stalagmites, following the river to refresh ourselves at one of the magical waterfalls hidden beneath the surface.

This thrilling journey lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, and for your safety, a local guide will accompany you. A headlamp is included for the expedition. We recommend wearing a swimsuit and water shoes or sandals with straps to comfortably walk through the river. The site also offers showers and changing rooms for your convenience after the activity.

After exploring the caves, we continue our adventure to the tranquil town of Misahualli, famously known as the “Monkey Village.” Here, you’ll have the chance to relax and immerse yourself in the wonders of the rainforest, surrounded by playful monkeys and lush nature.

Misahualli - Our next stop is the famous “Playa de Monos” (Monkey Beach), where you’ll have the chance to interact with the playful monkeys that call this place home. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a delicious traditional lunch, offering a taste of the region’s authentic flavors.

Laguna Paikawe Reserva - Once refreshed, we’ll visit one of the area’s natural reserves, where we’ll board a paddle canoe for a serene journey through the waterways. As we glide through this pristine environment, keep your eyes open for incredible wildlife such as toucans, monkeys, caimans, and the fascinating hoatzin bird, a species with prehistoric origins. This area, often referred to as “Little Yasuni,” is a hidden gem for nature lovers.

After our wildlife adventure, we’ll return to town and make our way to our forest lodge, where a special dinner will be waiting for us—ending the day with a perfect mix of nature, wildlife, and delicious local cuisine.

Suchipakari Amazon Lodge & Jungle Spa - The day is far from over! After dinner, it’s time to put on your rubber boots as we embark on a thrilling nighttime exploration of the tropical rainforest. Accompanied by a native guide, you’ll discover the unique wildlife and sounds that come to life after dark, offering an entirely different perspective of the jungle.

Amphibious ATVs: Jungle Adventure by Quad Bikes

Suchipakari Amazon Lodge & Jungle Spa - Today, we kick off the adventure with a hearty jungle breakfast. Afterward, get ready for an exhilarating tour through the rainforest aboard our amphibious all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). These quad bikes will take you along narrow paths, across hanging bridges, and deep into nature, where you’ll discover stunning waterfalls surrounded by lush greenery.

With the guidance of our expert, you’ll have the freedom to customize your route, creating a unique and personalized adventure.

Our amphibious ATVs are fully equipped for a complete jungle exploration. Their engines and operational systems are ready to submerge and emerge smoothly from water crossings. Each vehicle comfortably accommodates up to two adults and one child.

For your safety, the vehicles come equipped with rollover bars, secure seating, and undergo regular maintenance to ensure they’re always adventure-ready. Buckle up and prepare for a thrilling ride!

Ahuano - Our amphibious ATVs (Quad Bikes) are fully equipped for a complete jungle exploration. Their engines and operational systems are ready to submerge and emerge smoothly from water crossings. Each vehicle comfortably accommodates up to two people.

For your safety, the vehicles come equipped with rollover bars, secure seating, and undergo regular maintenance to ensure they’re always adventure-ready. Buckle up and prepare for a thrilling ride!

Some sections along the route may have deeper water levels, but the vehicle’s tires act as propulsion in water just as effectively as on land.

Tena - Afterward, we’ll return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch and pack up our belongings as transportation awaits to take us back to the city of Tena, marking the end of our tour.
