Didn't get to snorkel but still a fun experience! - Unfortunately, our trip didn't go to plan as when we got out to the reef, it was far too choppy and rough to snorkel. The company refunded our trip as we didn't get to snorkel, which was great. On the way back we went whale watching instead and were lucky enough to find a pod of 3 whales all breaching and having a great time, putting on a brilliant show for the boat. One of them breached super close to the boat! This was awesome to see! Although we didn't snorkel, the area where we went to snorkel looked like it would have been amazing on a still day, and we'll definitely book again and go next time we're in the Mission Beach area, which will hopefully be in 2 years time. The staff were awesome and made the day super enjoyable, even if we didn't get to snorkel. They seemed to love their job (who wouldn't) and were super friendly and informative. We were offered to go on the next tour on the Saturday, but sadly we were departing the following day and wouldn't be around, which sucks because I've seen the photo's on their Facebook page and it looked like a great day!

Fantastic! - We went on a snorkeling tour on a pretty cloudy day, and the weather turned out to be pretty good on the reef—so don’t let medium weather conditions stop you from taking this tour! Courtney and Toby made us all feel at ease right from the start and safe throughout the tour. Although I’m a little scared in the water, they made me feel seen and safe during the snorkeling. They also gave a great introduction to snorkeling. The tour on the boat itself was really entertaining. The spots we visited were stunning, with colorful coral reefs and lots of marine life. We saw whales on our way to the reef and spent time watching them. Overall, a 10/10 experience!

Great option if not wanting a full day on the reef - We had a lovely half day out with the crew and despite it being a half day trip only, we still got to swim 2 sites which was excellent. The crew were friendly and attentive, with 2 swimmers in the water with the guests (23 of us in total) which was I'm sure very reassuring for the less confident swimmers. The morning tea wasn't substantial so you may want to also pack a couple of your own snacks. Equipment was great. The boat ride out was only about an hour which was great given previous reef trips we had done out of Cairns took 2 hours (much bigger boats). For our family of 4, with many previous reef trips under our belts, the half day trip was an excellent way to have a quick revisit to the reef with time to still relax at Mission Beach in the afternoon, but if it was my first ever time to the reef (and potentially only time if I came from overseas) I'd want the full day experience on the larger boat with lunch included for more time on the reef and time inbetween snorkels (ie lunch).
