Mkomazi National Park is an exceptional nature reserve. To the northwest, you can see Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. The Pare and Usambara Mountains offer an arresting view to the south, while to the north, Mkomazi shares a boundary with Kenya’s sprawling Tsavo National Park. This collaboration provides a shared space for wandering herds of elephant, oryx, and zebra during the rainy season. Combined with Tsavo, it creates one of the biggest and most significant safeguarded ecosystems globally.
A trip to Mkomazi can be enriched with additional experiences such as visits to Marangu waterfalls, ascents of Mt Kilimanjaro, dips in Kikuletwa Hot Springs, explorations around Lake Duluti, and tours of Momela National Park and Lake Duluti.
