See it all with this tour - This was definitely the best way to see what the rock has to offer. This small group visit allows a van-sized experience through the historic parts of both the city at the bottom and the rock itself. You don’t miss a thing on this tour. We had a wonderful guide with a big personality who wove in humor with historical facts. Well worth the price, don’t bother with the cable car ride, avoid summer if possible. Be ready to wait at border entry, for us in October only a 20 min wait but it can be 2 hrs.

Private family tour of the Rock - Mini Van private tour with guide Ryan Kennedy. We had a great time seeing the apes and taking photos. Visited St. Michaels Cave , the Skywalk and on the walk down we went through various historical sites as well as a castle. Our guide was personable and very informative about every aspect of the tour .I highly recommend these smaller group tours.

Views are gorgeous, the monkeys are also one of the main attractions. Big thank you to Enrique, who was an excellent guide, shared many stories and a great driver as well.

Pleasantly happy - The ride from Malaga was comfortable, safe, and on time. Upon arrival our driver was very helpful in advising us on how to get through customs and where to meet our tour bus at a later time. We had a knowledgeable driver/tour guide in Gibraltar and had extra time following our tour.

The Rock Tour - Pick-up in Malaga. Total 6 on van. Driver knowledgeable and pointed out sites on way to Gibraltar. Joined a group of 8 others for bus tour of Rock. Unfortunate not to see tunnels. St. Michael’s Cave and brief walking tour of town included. Worth the trip.

Not what was promised or what we paid for. - We were glad we got to see the Rock, but it was not the trip we planned on. It was supposed to be a small group tour, but then apparently there were not enough people signed up so it got shifted to a different company (CostAfrica) and a full big bus. The left us for 3 hours of shopping in Gibraltar and only 2 hours of actual touring. That was shortened because when we got back to bus stop to meet the minibuses, there was great confusion as to who was doing what, what language groups were being accommodated, etc, and we lost at least 20 minutes. With all of the stops to pick up and let off all of the various groups, it took 3 hours to get to Gibraltar and 3.5 to get back. So 9.5 hours to get 1.5 hours of actual seeing the Rock. A lot of money for a limited experience.

Just a ride to Gibraltar - If you just want a ride to Gibraltar and the rock tour tickets pre-paid, then this is the 'tour' for you. Ride from Malaga to Gibraltar was just that and no more. No commentary, no history information; just a quiet ride. Got to Gibraltar and were handed off to the local tour company ( could have bought tickets directly). We were given about an hour of free time to shop, etc. We were given a strict time of 3:15pm to meet for the ride back to Malaga. We arrived in Malaga at about 4:30pm. Confused by this as the original plan was for a 6:00pm return. Seems to me we could have had more time in Gibraltar. A more active, engaged driver would have made the trip better. Also some time with the guide touring Gibraltar would also have been nice.

All day bus ride. - Our mid-morning reservation was canceled by the tour operator and we asked to join an earlier group. That changed our meeting time from 09:00 to 06:30. It took 3.5 hours (7 stops to pickup guests) to arrive at customs where we got off the bus to stand in line for 30 min. Then back on bus to cross border. Then we were rushed on/off bus to sites. Then another 3.5 hours / 7 stops to return to Malaga. All in all it took around 13 hours to spend 30 minutes total at the intended locations. If we knew we would be spending all day on a bus, we would not have taken the trip. Not worth giving up a full day and definitely not worth the cost.

Absolute chaos! Don't be fooled! - We paid $475.08 for two people on the ENGLISH small group Gibraltar from Malaga day tour. The trip was handled by ANERAS TRAVEL based in Granada. It was absolute chaos. We felt abandoned and cheated. At the meeting point in Malaga and all the way to Gibraltar our transportation consisted of four adults plus driver stuffed into a small taxi that reeked of cigarette smoke. The driver did not speak a word of English and had no way of contacting Aneras Travel on our behalf. Aneras Travel was supposed to supply us with Gibraltar Passes (they sent a brochure instead) to provide bus and Rock Tour tickets, but they did not send the passes -- not until we were almost in Gibraltar, and then by international text message to the other couple in our car because they complained by text, but we required wi-fi and did not have international roaming, so we received nothing. The taxi driver dropped us off at the border and showed us on his watch when to return. We crossed the border and looked for bus #10 or #5 as Aneras had instructed. HOWEVER, the bus-driver of the municipal bus we were supposed to take said that the bus stop we were told to look for did not exist. He also demanded that we pay cash for the bus since we had no Gibraltar Passes. He told us to ride the bus with him to the last stop, and then out of benevolence he took us to a building called Mid-Town. It turned out to be a complex of offices and shops. We had been told to look for the Main Station, but there was no such thing in sight nor was it to be found on the other couple's Google Maps. After walking around for some time the four of us found a tourist information office. They had wi-fi, so we then received our Gibraltar Passes, but the employee there had never heard of a main station. By this time our bladders were bursting. Thank God there was a public toilet near the tourist office. Then the guy at the office suggested that MAYBE we should try the bus depot, which is a large parking garage for municipal buses. We walked downhill and down a side street and entered the multi story garage (with no signs) and inquired at the office on the ground floor (again with no signs) if they knew of any tours in the area. They suggested we take an elevator down the hall to Level 2. Of course! Why hadn't we thought of that? Level 2 of a parking garage on a side street! Brilliant! On Level 2 we found little private buses (a different tour company this time). Yes, they did Rock Tours, but alas, our names were not on the manifest. And yet those of our travel companions were -- and they were listed as a party of 4 instead of 2. We assumed we were "with them" and our Gibraltar Passes were accepted, so we were allowed to climb on board. The Rock Tour was great and Jesus was the perfect guide -- knowledgeable, thoughtful and humorous. When that tour was over, we were again left to fend for ourselves. We walked through the shopping district and found a local map that helped us navigate our way to a distant main street where a bus might (and did) take us back to the border. We emerged from a bus loaded with Spanish employees on their way home from work, crossed the border, and found our non-English speaking taxi driver enjoying his last cigarette before the 2+ (closer to 3 hours in rush hour traffic) drive back to Malaga. The only thing that we enjoyed was the Rock Tour. Why should anyone pay $475 dollars (in our case, plus bus fare) to be misinformed, misdirected and abandoned? This was the worst tour experience we ever had! Shame on Viator for promoting this tour!
