Fabulous displays of Spanish art - Excellent place to stop and appreciate Spanish art over the last 2 centuries. You can see how the styles of selected artists change as time progresses. The displays are well exhibited giving information about the artist and period they were produced. There are also options of downloading a personal tour of the exhibition using QR codes, or simply a leaflet giving information about each piece. There is also a shop and a café whose cakes are delicious! Well worth a visit.

A place for romantics - This was my favourite museum in Malaga. Everything was just so beautifully presented and they had all the audio options. It's a little hidden away but very much worth the search. Please go and fall in love with it to.

Well worth a visit - I loved this art gallery! I got the impression from the outside that it would be modern art, but it was a lovely collection spanning centuries. It had a calm and peaceful atmosphere and the wide variety of paintings were beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly and there was a locker where I could leave my suitcase. There was also a very nice cafe and a good shop.

Friendly Art Museum - A small-to-medium size art museum with a collection of quality works by Spanish artists. This museum in many ways is the opposite of the nearby Picasso Museum. How so? Much fewer crowds. No lines of online timed ticket holders stretching for blocks past sidewalk diners, beggars and street singers. Lower entry fees. No entry time pressure. Friendly and helpful staff instead of brusque time keepers. Most importantly, the majority of works at the Carmen Thyssen Museum are not under glass. They are protected the old-fashioned way with museum guards. Without glass and glare, it is possible to take quality photos with quality cameras and lenses. Consider using the phone camera for social media posts, coupled with quality images of the art work you regard the most. The cafe is charming. The gift shop has many art books and gift choices.

You can't leave Malaga without visiting the Carmen Thyssen Museum - Excellent museum, with excellent works, very chosen. It is worth paying the price of admission. Very comfortable wandering around the rooms, there are perfectly equipped toilets, and lots of works, which you will love. Perfect lighting, and let you take photos without flash.

For those who love Spanish painting - The perfect place to discover Spanish and local painting. We see very well the evolution, the progression of art through the ages. A really pleasant moment when you can contemplate a work without worry about other visitors (few people).

POOR CARE - The treatment of the staff selling the tickets and security is abysmal. I am going with a person with reduced mobility and they have had 0 consideration

I booked the museum in the wrong city. It was my fault. - I booked the Thyssen Museum in the wrong city. The museum in Madrid would not honor our tickets. It was my fault. Be careful when booking. The Thyssen has museums in several cities.
