To Much To See in One Visit - My bonus grandson and loved the USS Drum Submarine also. The battleship, for me, would take either all day,or at least a couple visits. I'll be back for sure!

As a stopover or excursion destination - We passed this park on our way from New Orleans to Pensacola Beach. There is much to see (tank, helicopter, plane...) The highlight is certainly the USS Alabama, which you could see in detail. One can only guess how the sailors used to live on this ship. This is even more stark at the submarine, which stands right next to it and can also be visited. Super tight everything.. The visit was definitely worth it.

USS ALABAMA & the USS Drum excursion - This is a self-guided tour that you follow by numbers on a sheet with descriptions. There is air conditioning inside the ship. We loved this excursion! Highly recommend the submarine and the battleship.

Impressive and well worth a visit - BB60 ex USS Alabama is in a wonderful state of preservation. Note that the site is maintained by a trust, not by public funds. This makes the access/parking fee and ticket cost more palatable. Plenty of outdoor exhibits make for an interesting visit, even outside of the main attractions. While the museum is accessible, there are no provisions for seating ahead of the cash. So, a mobility challenged person not wishing to access the museum really has nowhere to go, other than the gift shop/restaurant across from the main access point (aircraft structure). Unfortunately, the staff I encountered at the cash were neither particularly friendly, nor particularly helpful. I put it down to individuals. The ship itself is in a league of its own; I recommend taking the time to view the introductory video at the beginning of the "yellow" tour . I appreciate the access to spaces without fuss or tons of barriers, such as the main gun turret aft if the access ramp .
