The tour also includes a visit to the Mercato Albinelli, where you can experience the daily life of Modena’s residents. This market is a feast for the senses, offering a glimpse into the local gastronomy that the city is renowned for.
Review (2024-10-23): Our Michelin Star extravaganza! I loved this small and beautiful town. The Cathedral was gorgeous, and the market was very interesting. We also loved having dinner with 3 Michelin stars Chef Massimo Botura. It was the highlight of the evening!
Culinary Delights: Pasta Making in Modena
For those who wish to delve deeper into Modena’s culinary traditions, the Pasta Class is an unmissable experience. Scheduled for November 30th, this class offers a hands-on opportunity to craft authentic tagliatelle and tortelloni. Under the guidance of a local chef, you’ll learn the traditional techniques of pasta making, a skill that has been passed down through generations in Emilia-Romagna.
The class is held in a charming home near Modena’s historic center, providing an intimate setting to learn and savor the flavors of Italian cuisine. After crafting your pasta, enjoy a meal paired with exquisite Italian wine, making it a perfect afternoon activity. The experience is not just about cooking; it’s about immersing yourself in the local culture, sharing laughter, and creating memories with fellow food enthusiasts.
Review (2020-02-03): Really lovely. We’ve done a couple of cooking courses in Italy before. This one seemed quite cheap, so we weren’t expecting too much. However, we had a lovely time. It really felt like we were involved in a normal family day. We got lots of hands-on experience rolling pasta and trying to make Tortelloni. Then we all sat down together to eat. Charming experience. We really enjoyed it.
