Wonderful Day Exploring Gran Canaria’s Pretty Villages, History & Spectacular Mountains With Two Delightful Experienced - We are a mobile couple in our 70s and Ines & Juanjo made us very welcome and looked after us admirably all day. Juanjo was a safe driver navigating some narrow roads as we climbed. They were both very knowledgeable about Gran Canaria’s history of the island going back to the cave dwellers and how they lived. We visited an information centre detailing the lives of the cave dwellers and how the Europeans conquered the island and what came next. We visited the villages of Fataga & Tejeda, the latter being voted the prettiest in Spain, which it certainly is. There’s a wonderful shop selling lots of almond products made from the trees that abound in this area. We drove up to the highest point on the island with the most spectacular views which feels like the top of the world. We stopped at a picnic site and Ines produced some very tasty homemade tapas, wine and water and a digestive of honey rum which was delicious. We were only 4 on the trip so the minibus was very comfortable and all in all a very enjoyable day and well worth booking.

Magic Mountains - We loved everything. The winding roads in the hands of Juanjo (the best driver!). The fascinating stories they told us. The village of Tejeda is beautiful! And the food that Agnes prepared for us, a delight. Everything was perfect!! Again: Thanks for everything.

Mountains, caves and history.... - I recommend it to everyone! We were at the time of the kalima winds. But would love to be there again during clear visibility. Great views! Lupita, Juanjo and Inés thank you very much for the time together!

Amazing tour with amazing people - Second time with Juanjo and Ines after a tour with them back in 2019. Last time was great, this time was even better! They are an amazing pair who make you feel like one of their family. They are so knowledgable and informative. Ines is a fantastic cook making lunch an absolute highlight. Juanjo ask drives brilliantly on roads you would not want to drive yourself. We did the UNESCO heritage tour and would 100% recommend it - so interesting visiting a range of historic and current cave dwellings against the backdrop of the incredible Gran Canaria scenery. We were a multi generational family ranging from our 12 year old daughter to her grandparents in their 70s. All of us were completely engaged by the day. And physically it was not too challenging. (And if you have issues with heights do trust Ines that it’s not as bad as it looks at the Fortress and persevere - it’s not as bad as it looks.)

An Absolute Must when visiting Gran Canaria! - We recently completed this tour of Gran Canaria with Sky Rebels and cannot rate it highly enough. You may think it is a little expensive but, trust me, it really isn’t. You will have a maximum of six people and three guides. Juanjo who is an excellent driver, Inez an excellent guide and Lupita who is, well……Lupita! You will drive on roads that are not usually accessible by larger vehicles, the scenery is mind blowingly spectacular but you are completely safe in the expert hands of Juanjo. What makes this tour special and different to the others is not only the areas visited but also the fabulous history and myths that you will learn. Most are, undoubtedly, true and some you will wish were true! Juan and Inez will introduce you to some of the ancient Gods of Gran Canaria, you will appeal to the sun god Magec and, who knows, some magic may happen! Last, but not least, you will enjoy a delicious lunch in the open air of Canarian specialities prepared with love by Inez and accompanied by your choice of beverages. Juan and Inez (and Lupita!) are not only the nicest people you could hope to meet but are also local Canarians whose love and enthusiasm for their islands shines through.

tourist-friendly at its best - The highest village in Gran Canaria is characterized by a variety of flowers and is very well maintained. There are two free museums, some with very friendly explanations. The place is neatly decorated, the attractions such as several miradores are well signposted, and public toilets are a matter of course. There are plenty of parking spaces and you can take beautiful walks with a view of the numerous cave dwellings.

Don’t hesitate to book - We were collected in Puerto de Mogan for an all day tour of the Sacred Mountains. We were driven in comfort and felt very safe driven by Juanjo and ‘Lupita’. A wonderful homemade lunch prepared by Inés was provided. This couple delivered a fun day combining the perfect balance of information, humour and rest breaks. On a somewhat cloudy day our guides used their local knowledge to give us the best route on the day. They are passionate about sharing their knowledge with visitors and our remaining time in Gran Canaria has been enhanced by our day with them. We look forward to future trips and recommend highly.

Amazing experience with the most perfect local guides - We booked the Unesco tour of one day. What a great experience! Juanjo and Inés are wonderful people, fun, caring and they have such a great knowledge that they want to share with you. You discover the canarian history, culture and important facts. You go to places no other tours or public go. And ofcourse there is Lupita, a fun personal touch for the kids. For lunch we had a homemade picknick (made by Inés with love, excellent chef) with local ingrediënts and fruits, all traditional food. We were so amazed by the tour and this lovely people that we immediately booked another tour, the Barranco de las vacas. Then we visited the Salinas and also a real cave. There we enjoyed a magnificent view and some local food (once again thanks to the chef) during a rest inside the cave. Again an unforgettable experience. If you are looking for the perfect local guides who are passionated in what they do, Juanjo and Inés are just perfect! We had an unforgettable experience!
