Mohe County - Upon arriving in Daxinganling Mohe County via your own arranged flight or train, your Mohe tour guide will greet you with a private car to begin today’s tour.

Beihong Village - Before reaching Beihong Village for photos, the first stop is the birch forest, which is perfect for photography. Then, visit the Heilongjiang River’s first bay, Wusuli Shoal, the northernmost point in China. The “First Bay of Longjiang” is a unique landscape created by the river’s rapid reversal as it flows through the Hongqiling section of the Tuqiang Forestry Bureau in the Daxing’anling area of Heilongjiang Province. The Longjiang First Bay Scenic Area features a hiking trail, with the summit reaching an altitude of about 500 meters. Next, head to Beihongchun for more photos, and then return to Arctic Village.

Arctic Village Scenic Area - In the evening, accommodations will be provided in Arctic Village.

Arctic Village Horse Sled, Northernmost Post Office and Watchhouse, Reindeer Tribe, Christmas Village

Arctic Village Scenic Area - Your guide will show you around all the attractions within Arctic Village, including the horse sled, northernmost post office, northernmost outpost, reindeer tribe, and Christmas Village. Other attractions include Arctic Sandbar, Golden Rooster Crown, and Seven Star Square, followed by some free time.

Arctic Village - Splashing Water Turns into Ice - Mohe County Attractions

Arctic Village Scenic Area - Before departing for Mohe County, your guide will demonstrate how to turn splashing water into ice.

Daxinganling Mohe County - Before heading to the airport or train station, your guide will take you to explore Mohe County attractions such as Songyuan Park and North Star Square. If time permits before departure, your guide will also take you to Mohe Dance Hall for relaxation.

Mohe County is situated at the northernmost point of China, within the Daxinganling region of Heilongjiang province. It shares a border with Russia’s Amur region and Chita across the river. This unique geographical position endows Mohe County with abundant resources and distinctive weather, earning it the nickname “Bright Golden Head of Pearl.” Mohe County Town, located at China’s northern extremity, is famously referred to as “the Chinese Arctic Village.”

The winter season in Mohe County is notably long, extending from November to the end of April, lasting for half a year. During this time, temperatures can plummet to between minus 20 and 40 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest place in China. A significant attraction for visitors is Beijicun Forest Park, where one can not only enjoy the stunning snow but also have the opportunity to witness the aurora borealis in the Arctic Village Scenic Park. Mohe County is the only place in China where the aurora borealis can be seen.
