Inclusion on giraffe scale - The Arusha Giraffe Center not only works tirelessly to protect giraffes but also partners with local communities in transformative agriculture initiatives to address one of the key drivers of giraffe habitat loss—unsustainable farming practices. By promoting sustainable, eco-friendly agricultural methods, the center empowers local farmers to make a living without expanding into crucial giraffe habitats.
This transformative agriculture approach helps preserve natural ecosystems, reduce deforestation, and create a harmonious coexistence between humans and wildlife. The center’s vision is to help communities thrive alongside conservation efforts, allowing people to benefit from the land while also protecting the giraffes’ natural habitat. Learning about this holistic approach was eye-opening and showed me how interconnected conservation and community well-being truly are. This experience has not only deepened my appreciation for giraffes but also opened my eyes to how impactful sustainable agricultural practices can be for the environment as a whole.

Top place to visit in Tanzania - The hosts Natalie and Nate were very welcoming and give us a detail and enlightening presentation about why they do what they do and its benefits to humanity which was brilliant. I also love their relationship and genuine care for the giraffe and the environment.

Eye opening experience - The experience was eye opening. One I would recommend to everyone. I appreciate the information being communicated and particularly the primary focus being the local children who are the future key players. I honestly am looking forward to the impact this center will bring to the area. The walk with the giraffes was amazing, they are such graceful animals and to experience them upclose, such a dream.

Fabulous trip from Arusha, coming Education and seeing the beautiful giraffe - What an inspirational visit. A fabulous 1/2 day trip from Arusha that can easily be paired with the cultural centre for a day of entertainment close to Arusha. Amazing to hear how the re-wilding can improve the land and how this little piece of tourism can also help local school children to understand their surroundings and educate them in how to look after their land and animals for years to come.
So beautiful to see the giraffes in such green surroundings and to be so close to them.
Having been part of a large meeting in Arusha it can also be organised as an educational social group visit.
Really do feel that it should be a location for 'Clarkson's Farm on Tour'.
An absolute must if in Arusha, thank you Nick and the team.

A very special experience - Such a special experience. Nat and Nick run this farm with great passion. The giraffes are prepared again for life outside the farm with a lot of love and patience. We learned so much about the animals and were allowed to stay with them for a long time.

Stunning Encounter with Giraffes - What a wonderful place! Its an interesting drive to get there, passing many Masai families--bring treats to toss to the kids as they love this! We handed out Tootsie Pops. Once at the Centre, we were warmly greeted by Natalie who owns it. She offered us tea, coffee and banana bread, before giving us an educational lecture about Tanzanian agriculture and the symbiotic relationship of animals, humans, plants and myselium. Really great! Then we started our walk; about 40-60 min of walking to find the stunning, amazing, gorgeous four giraffes who are protected an studied. These are lucky animals! We were able to get quite close without disturbing them. And we learned more about the flora and fauna there. My congratulations to Natalie and team for protecting these amazing animals and fostering ideas for regeneration. Don't miss this wonderful visit!

An inspiring and educational afternoon with a view of beautiful giraffes as the icing on the cake - We first received an extensive explanation about the education center. An inspiring story by Nick. He was very knowledgeable about developments in Tanzania, especially in the field of agriculture. A real eye-opener and a serious mission to support the land, its inhabitants and animals and educate them about a healthier way of farming. The icing on the cake is a beautiful walk towards the giraffes. Enjoy these beautiful animals from a few meters away. A great afternoon!
