Highlights
  • Hampton Court Palace - Hampton Court Palace. Constructed by Cardinal Wolsey, Hampton Court offers visitors the opportunity to explore its magnificent gardens, labyrinth, and State rooms.
One of the premier features within Hampton Court Palace is the Great Hall, situated at the heart of the Tudor Palace. Initiated in 1532 by Henry VIII, the Great Hall superseded an earlier hall erected from 1492 to 1514 and served as the venue for regular meals and festivities.
    500 years of horticultural heritage
The gardens, which now welcome countless visitors annually, were historically the private domain of royalty. With each successive reign, from the Tudors to the Victorians, came fresh horticultural concepts and styles.
Presently, the Gardens and Estate personnel perpetuate the horticultural traditions established by former monarchs.
From the refined Long Water of Charles II to the grand baroque gardens of William III & Mary II, inclusive of the Maze, to the opulent Victorian mass bedding displays, the Hampton Court Gardens have consistently been at the forefront of horticultural innovation.

The magnificent Hampton Court Palace was originally erected by Cardinal Wolsey - a tour of its enchanting gardens, intricate maze, and stately rooms await you.
The initial Tudor Hampton Court Palace was conceived by Cardinal Wolsey in the early 1500s. However, it wasn’t long before it caught Henry VIII’s eye, who made it the home for his six wives. Encapsulated by beautiful gardens with famed features like the Maze and the Great Vine, the palace has been a backdrop for numerous events of national significance.

In 1838, Queen Victoria granted public access to the palace. Since then, it has been a prime attraction, drawing in millions owing to its majesty, tales of hauntings, and exceptional collection of art.
