Tsavo East National Park is home to the legendary “Man-eaters” lions. It was here that hundreds of railway workers were attacked by these creatures around 7:00 pm. The park hosts large herds of elephants migrating from Tsavo West National Park. Other wildlife includes rhinos, buffaloes, lions, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, lesser kudus, gerenuks, and a rich birdlife with 500 recorded species. Visit the Aruba Dam, a popular spot for animals seeking water.

Aruba Dam - This man-made dam, constructed in 1957, provides water for wildlife. It’s an excellent location to observe hippos and other animals.

Tsavo East To Tsavo West National Park

Tsavo National Park West - After breakfast, depart for Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, check in for lunch at Ngulia Safari Lodge. Relax at your lodge until 3:00 pm, then embark on a two-hour afternoon game drive. Look out for the maneless lions in the park. Return for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tsavo West is a stunning, rugged wilderness. The ecosystem includes open grasslands, scrublands, acacia woodlands, riverine vegetation, and rocky ridges. Visit the Poacher’s Lookout for a view of the herds on the plains below. Tsavo West National Park offers some of the world’s most spectacular game viewing, with attractions such as elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and buffaloes.

Mzima Springs - A verdant oasis where you can observe hippos and crocodiles in the water, as well as fish and crocodiles from the underground viewing station.
