- Cattedrale di Monreale - Visitors will be dropped off at Piazza Guglielmo II, where they can explore the stunning Monreale Cathedral. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, it is one of the world’s most significant medieval churches. The cathedral’s mosaics are truly unique and exquisite. For a fee, guests can access various areas of the cathedral, including the terraces. Next to the cathedral is the San Benedetto Monastery. The monastery’s cloister features a Romanesque square design with over 90 columns adorned with mosaics and Romanesque capitals. At the center of the cloister is a garden with a palm-shaped fountain from which water flows. Nearby, the intriguing Diocesan Museum awaits exploration. From Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, visitors can view the Duomo and admire the renowned marble Triton Fountain. The Belvedere is a must-see!
- Castelbuono - Castelbuono is located in the ancient Madonie Valley. Here, visitors can explore the magnificent medieval Church of S. Francesco, which houses the Baroque funeral chapel of the Ventimiglia family. The church also features unique Byzantine frescoes. The seventeenth-century Church of the New Matrix is notable for its baroque altars, a fifteenth-century crucifix, and a sixteenth-century polyptych depicting the Madonna, Child, and saints. The civic museum offers collections of archaeological finds, plant specimens, insects, and fossils from the region. In Castelbuono’s main square, the Bar di Fiasconaro offers a chance to taste panettone, a traditional Christmas dessert, reimagined with a Sicilian twist, available year-round.
- Cefalu - The Cefalù tour begins at Lungomare Giuseppe Giardina, continuing to Via Vittorio Emanuele, where the houses start. From here, a stroll through the narrow streets, old houses, shops, restaurants, and ice cream parlors is delightful. Midway along Via Vittorio Emanuele is the medieval washhouse, accessible via a lava stone staircase. Beyond the washhouse, visitors reach Porta Pescara, offering a sea view. Shortly after Porta della Pescara, on the left, is Piazza Marina with the old port’s pier. From the old port, the most enchanting part of Cefalu can be seen: houses with balconies directly over the sea. Continuing along Corso Ruggero, visitors will soon find themselves in the town hall square, facing the Cathedral of Cefalù. The remaining tour time will be spent moving between the attractions visited.
