Travel from Cape Town to Oudtshoorn on the Wine Route R62

R 62 in the Little Karoo - We leave Cape Town at 8am, heading towards Oudtshoorn. Along the way, we join the R62 Wine Route, traveling through the Little Karoo Region and passing through towns like Robertson and Montagu before arriving in Oudtshoorn.

The Cango Caves - We take a guided tour of the Cango Caves. Located near Oudtshoorn in South Africa, the Cango Caves are a spectacular underground marvel, famous for their expansive halls and intricate limestone formations. Depart from Oudtshoorn after breakfast and head to Botlierskop for a 4x4 game drive

Day 3 we visit different attractions in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay

Knysna Heads - After breakfast, we start with a tour of the Knysna Heads.

These two towering sandstone cliffs guard the entrance to the Knysna Lagoon, where the Indian Ocean meets the tranquil waters of the estuary. Robberg Nature Reserve - From Knysna Heads, we head to Robberg Nature Reserve, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in South Africa. We go hiking here.

Plettenberg Bay - We do a brief tour of this beautiful coastal town.

We also relax at the beach in Plettenberg Bay. The beach is situated on a prime beachfront location, offering direct access to soft, golden sands and the gentle waves of the Indian Ocean. Whether you’re lounging under the warm sun, taking a leisurely swim, or simply enjoying the stunning coastal views, the beach provides a serene escape. Bloukrans Bridge - We also visit Bloukrans Bridge in Tsitsikama National Park for one of the world’s highest bungy jumps at 216m. This is an optional activity at your own cost, priced at $50.00 per person.

We depart from Plettenberg Bay after breakfast and head to Hermanus, Betty’s Bay, and finally Cape Town

Hermanus - On arrival in Hermanus, we do a brief tour of this beautiful coastal town.

Located at the Stony Point Nature Reserve, the colony is one of the largest breeding sites for these charming birds. As you walk along the boardwalks, you can observe the penguins in their natural habitat, waddling along the rocky shoreline, diving into the ocean, or tending to their nests. The dramatic coastal scenery adds to the charm, making Betty’s Bay a must-visit destination for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Cape Town - We now make the final drive from Betty’s Bay to Cape Town on the Whale Coast. The route provides breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, with occasional sightings of whales and other marine life during the right season.

We reach Cape Town in the late afternoon at around 6pm to conclude this wonderful tour.
