Great Tour Guides in Monteverde! - This was my second time using Three Brothers Tours in Monteverde, specifically in the Monteverde Cloud Forest reserve! We had a great experience in 2019 so when we were traveling again in July 2024, we booked with them again. So glad they are still in business because they are so knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend booking for any of their tours... it's so worth it!

Great price, knowledgeable guide, an absolute must for a foreigner. - Excellent all around. They're clearly experts in the area, vegetation, animals, terrain etc. Our guide was super accommodating, took lovely pictures of us, and could spot animals you would absolutely not see or know to look for without an experience guide.
It really cannot be overstated how much it matters to have an expert, if you're a foreigner even an avid hiker or traveler you will not be able to get a full picture of the locale without a guide and the three brothers tours were excellent.

We asked for them again since they were so good at the first Monteverde tour! - My family of four (two teenage boys) went with Thanos who had 20+ years experience as a guide. We had him as a guide for the Monteverde cloud forest, night walk and then requested him again for a private Curicancha tour. We told him we would like to see the Quetzals and we wind up seeing 1 with him at Monteverde national park and at our Curicancha tour two days later we saw 7 (yes seven!) which included a picture of the mother and baby on a branch. His knowledge of the flora is impressive as he taught us about epiphytes and how the different trees attract different animals.
We saw in the three tours: two sloths, multiple agouti, coatis, 2howler monkeys, a family of spider monkeys, 2 Capuchin monkeys, one keeling toucan, multiple green emerald toucanettes, a tarantula, a crop of glass frog eggs (his (scope lens showed us the tadpoles moving in the eggs!) and numerous hummingbirds, glass butterfly and morpho butterflies.

Amazing experience - The tour with Elver was great, a very friendly person, with a lot of knowledge and a whole professional. We had a great time and learned a lot, as well as seeing many animals. Recommended 100% we saw lovely quetzals that are very complicated to see!!! A success when choosing them as guides!!!

Interesting tour - We had a great guide who was able to tell us a lot about the animals and the cloud forest. He also made a lot of effort to ensure that we were able to observe lots of animals and we were lucky enough to see some rare animals. However, everyone should be aware that the animals there are not fed, so you are either lucky or you are not.

Well worth getting a guide. - Great guide. We would have never seen the wildlife without our guide. Highly recommend. And you have plenty of time to also enjoy more of the park on your own.

Wonderful private tour! - Alex was a fantastic guide. He was very knowledgeable and found all of the animals we could have wished for. We learned about plants and also the change affecting the cloud forest. We watched spider monkeys playing, and Alex found us a male and female Quetzal. We saw a toucanet, a glass winged butterfly and an awesome moss stick bug amongst many other things. Highly recommend a private tour with Alex!

Sighting of animals that are difficult to see - An incredible experience, what I enjoyed most in all of Costa Rica. Mauricio knows a lot and is charming. We saw a quetzal and many more beautiful animals. With a super interesting explanation. 😍

Actually a 2-hour tour, FYI - Very good tour overall, and we were delighted to see a pair of Quetzals. I would give this 5 stars, but it says it's a 3 hour tour online, and our guide insisted it was only a 2 hour tour in person. It was very confusing. Otherwise he was great and did everything we could have wanted.
