Perfect family experience! - This was a perfect animal experience for the kiddos of our large family. Began early morning with some education on the history of this family owned farm then some animal encounters and a hike around the property. Breakfast at the end made by family members was very very tasty. Loved that the family members themselves were with us during our time there. Thank you!

Very thorough and patient walk-through and introduction - This was a great experience. We walked through and were introduced to pretty much the whole farm, including the overview and history of this family farm, and saw a variety of different areas including green house plants, fruit trees (banana, guava, etc.) The cow milking part was very interesting and we had the chance to see two calves drinking milk from the cow we milked from. We also saw the cow peeing and pooping A LOT in front of us, all over the ground (a little bit slashed to our pants lol) , which was surprising to see such a huge amount but it was an unforgettable and unique experience that we appreciated. The man who led the tour (we forgot his name) was very friendly and patient in answering our questions and providing context of history and culture which we appreciated a lot. The breakfast at the end was great and cozy (bean rice, a piece of plantain, eggs, a piece of cheese, orange juice and coffee). *(The only thing to keep in mind: if you are booking on Viator, the webpage mentions that pick up in Monteverde area is included. However, this farm does not provide transportation and is unaware of this information posted on Viator until we asked. They are trying to figure this out and get this information down from Viator so if you are booking this from Viator and want to request pick-up, please note that you will need to go there on your own). This was disappointing to us at the beginning before we arrived at the tour but the tour itself is satisfying and worth it so we would still definitely recommend this tour and we hope more people can come and support this family.

Great little tour! - Great little tour. Enjoyed learning about the family history of the farm. Seeing what they produce and the highlight was milking the cow. Anibal is very informative. Price was worth it for the breakfast alone.

Visit here! - Out of an amazing trip, this was a highlight. First, it is a family run farm of three generations. Roy walked us around and we got to see their chickens, coffee plants, plantain and banana trees, fish pond, and sugar cane. Milking the cows was way harder than we thought. We asked Roy what they do with the pails of milk and he said his father in law makes cheese we would get to eat! Then we went to an outdoor kitchen overlooking a pretty part of the property and they made us breakfast on a wood burning stove (which I’m super jealous of). They even had fresh flowers in a vase. The breakfast was from their farm. Coffee with steamed milk and cane sugar, tortilla, rice and beans, eggs, plantains, and cheese. It was absolutely delicious and so incredibly fresh. My husband was raving. We met more members of their family, who were all very nice and welcoming. My one regret is that I don’t speak more Spanish. The amount of time and care they put in for just me and my husband, first thing in the morning, was very nice and the experience was worth much more than we paid. They have a lovely family, home, and farm.

Perfect for all ages - Our group of three adults and three kids enjoyed a beautiful morning visiting the farm. We each milked cows, fed chickens, squeezed and tasted sugar cane juice, nibbled on herbs in the hydroponic garden, and explored the trails through this beautiful farm with our guide, who grew up there. A highlight was hearing from him about the history of the area and of his family and how they've used the land over the years. We finished with a delicious home-cooked snack, including coffee from beans grown on the farm and milk and cheese from the cows we'd milked. The tour was a special treat for the kids, who liked the hands-on activities, playing outdoors, and the two incredible swings. Across the street is a fantastic park maintained by a local family, with rope bridges to climb, a stream, swings, hammocks...

Nighttime tour was incredible. - Brought a small group of 9 and we were able to take a private nighttime tour of the rainforest. Our guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and entertaining. I would highly recommend looking into the nighttime tour here.
