Great birding tour - Kenneth was amazing! He is a true avian enthusiast and works hard to ensure his client’s have a great birding experience. My teenaged son is a novice photographer and Kenneth provided some tips, as well as positioning us perfectly for some great shots. He also took us to some beautiful, peaceful and tucked away locations near Monteverde with wonderful scenery and great viewing opportunities. Kenneth was professional and personable throughout the session.

Highlight of Our Trip! - Absolutely fantastic! Kenneth was our tour guide and he was super knowledgeable about local species and hotspots. We actually went out with him twice, once for a normal birdwatching and once for a nocturnal owl watch. We observed around fifty species between the two trips, including the big ones like the Resplendent Quetzal and Three-Wattled Bellbird and rarities like the Crimson-Collared Tanager. Definitely a must if you want a great birdwatching experience!

No comparison - don’t do the forest tour on your own! Great experience!! - Kenneth was so very personable and attentive to our interests. He spotted birds that we would have never seen on our own, used our cameras to take photos with his spotting scope so we came home looking like professional bird photographers! I would highly recommend using this tour guide service. Kenneth could take and tour you anywhere in the area and be knowledgeable! A delightful person to spend the day with.

We had a wonderful morning - We took the full morning birdwatching tour with Kenneth, and had a great time. Apart from his knowledge (not only birds, but everything around actually) we also really liked his company. He tried to make the tour OUR experience and listened to what we wanted to do/see most. So we can really recommend! By the way, as we already had tickets for the Monteverde Cloud Forest before we booked the birdwatching tour, we went there. But... the Curi-Cancha Reserve (5 minute drive from the Cloud Forest) would have been the better choice for spotting birds at this time of year/with this weather. We didn't know that of course. After Kenneth pointed this out to us, we decided to go to Curi-Cancha as well. He was right and there were many more birds to spot in Curi-Cancha that morning. So our tip to future tour bookers is: wait with purchasing the entry ticket until you meet Kenneth, tell him what you want to see/do most, so he can advise on which reserve to go! Kenneth, thank you for a great morning!

Great birdwatching tour! - Mario was so knowledgeable-he seemed to know the name of every plant and animal we passed. He took us to several beautiful places where we saw a ton of birds and other wildlife, including a resplendent quetzal!

Skilled bird hunter - We had an excellent bird watching tour with Kenneth. He catered directly to our hopes, picking us up at the arranged time and focusing on the birds we had expressed interest in ahead of time. He’s very skilled in spotting birds, picking out the tiniest specks in a tree, and then using his spotting scope to bring the bird into focus. We saw the resplendent quetzal, as well as many hummingbirds, and he even spotted a tiny abandoned hummingbird nest after I had expressed interest. Kenneth is clearly very knowledgeable about birds and very passionate and respectful of their habitat. Highly recommend!

All the birds you can imagine! - I booked a private morning birdwatching tour with Kenneth who excels at his field with incomparable knowledge, impeccable English skills and - of course - a deep affection for what he does. I didn't think I'd see the half the birds we spotted just within an hour, topped by the ultimate sight of two quetzals chilling in a tree and enjoying being photographed from various angles. I've got the motmots, toucans, kiskadees, hummingbirds, quetzals and so much more than I could've ever anticipated. I had ONE shot at spotting a quetzal due to my limited time in Monteverde, but Kenneth seems to magically attract these phenomenal creatures. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or guide. Highly recommended!

Pura Vida birdwatching - Kenneth has a keen eye for birds (even when it is really windy), infectious enthusiasm (for his guests and birdwatching) and demonstrates “pura vida” in all of his collaborative interactions with guests and fellow guides. It didn’t harm that we also saw many quetzals with great views. I had a wonderful time and thoroughly recommend him.

Looking for a Quetzals and bird watching in Montezuma Curi Cancha Reserve, Costa Rica. - It was our last days in Costa Rica and last chance to spot beautiful bird Resplendent Quetzal. We decided to take a tour with Kenneth and definitely it was a great time. He is was very professional with spotting the birds and explain us what kind of birds we could see, he was really in too it. You can tell it is his passion and hobby. We got a lot of interesting information about birds in Costa Rica, he was happy to answer all our questions. Eventually we saw femal quetzal and many other beautiful birds. He has his own equipment and he picked us up from the hotel and gave us a ride back. We strongly recommend this fantastic bird watching tour!!! Good luck with avocado tree :)
