Great morning walk - Oscar was very knowledgeable! He is a walking encyclopedia. Knows alot about all the plants and birds and animals. We learned sooo much. We saw a pit viper, a tarantula, coatis, many birds, an active hummingbird nest, and many flowers/plants. Would recommend!

Great experience! - Oscar was a wonderful guide! Very knowledgeable and friendly. We would not have seen nearly as much with our untrained eyes. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended wildlife tours. - Oscar was the best guide ever. He picked us up at the hotel. We did 3 tours with him: the morning walk, bird walk, and night walk. He took his time to explain the importance of conservation in Costa Rica. He was great at spotting wildlife and had an adapter that got great photos of what we saw. He provided all the photos after each hike. We’d highly recommend using him for tours.

Definitely recommended! - We did a tour in the morning and also one at night with Oscar. After four weeks of traveling in Costa Rica and having many guides we can say that Oscar is by far the best guide we had! He is very friendly, has a good eye for spotting wildlife (we had seen so much!), has one of the best scopes and also shares all the pictures he made with the scope afterwards (he was the only one doing this). Besides this; he also have so much knowledge and passion about the animals, plants and the forest and gives good recommendations about where to go to find some specific species. We seriously wish him all the best and want to thank him for being such a wonderful guide!

Fantastic Night Tour Experience - Wow! The experience we had doing the night tour with our guide Oscar Perez was spectacular. Oscar was so knowledgeable and able to find all of the cool critters! He even checked with us about if anyone had any phobias so he was able to curate our tour accordingly. Our group had two professional biologists so we were all in to see any of the critters we could and boy did we! It was such a magical experience and we would highly recommend to anyone who loves unique critters! He made sure to take lots of photos through his spotting scope so we could focus on the experience while he captured the memories.

Excellent storyteller and guide - Oscar was an excellent guide. He was great at spotting and identifying the various flora and fauna. The morning walk moved at a good pace. As we stopped and waited for the various animals he would tell very interesting stories about the origin of the park as well as describe various scientific processes regarding the fauna that was around us in a way accessible to a non scientist like me. His English was great. He used a spotting scope with camera attachment and also a pointer so that we could easily see what he saw.

Lovely experience! - I saw and learned so much about the animals all around me, none of which I would have been able to spot without my guide!

Beautiful and Educational Experience! - I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Our guide, Andrey, was absolutely amazing. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the forest and all of the creatures living within it; especially birds, considering he has been researching and studying birds of Costa Rica for years. Visiting the forest would have been lovely, but it would not have been the same without Andrey as our guide. My friend and I have both found a new appreciation and love of birds.

Experiencing the Cloud forest and the Resplendent Quetzal - Oscar was a great guide and lead us to see many animals, birds and reptiles during our tour. He was informative without too much....his ability to sight small creatures was great. My highlight came at the end of our tour when Oscar quickly got us to a spot to see the Resplendent Quetzal, a near threatened bird with a colorful, long tail. It was one of the most breathtaking moments of our trip to Costa Rica! Thank You!

An amazing tour of the Cloud Forest - This was a fantastic tour. The Cloud Forest Reserve is a magical place. Oscar is truly a great guide. His reputation as one of the best tour guides in Monteverde is well-deserved. He is so knowledgeable about the cloud forest. It was an interesting learning experience from start to finish. Oscar has a spotting scope with a phone camera attachement, and he has a very sharp eye. He spotted so much wildlife, and showed it to use with the scope, and gave us the photos at the end. We saw five Quetzals on this tour. Five! We were so lucky. Plus lots of other birds and wildlife. And the cloud forest, well it takes your breath away. If you don’t do anything else in Monteverde, don’t miss this tour with Oscar.
