The Thrill of the Zipline

As a former professional athlete, I’ve always been drawn to the thrill of extreme sports. So when I heard about the Dream Hammocks and Epic Zipline experience in Montebello, I knew it was a must-do. My fiancé and I were picked up early by our guide, Tom, who was as enthusiastic about the adventure as we were. The drive from Medellin was a breeze, and soon we found ourselves surrounded by the lush beauty of the eco-park.

The zipline experience was nothing short of exhilarating. Suspended over 100 meters above the ground, we soared between mountains, with breathtaking views of rivers and waterfalls below. The adrenaline rush was palpable, and the feeling of freedom was unmatched. Lunch was served on a mountaintop recreation area, where we enjoyed a meal that was as delightful as the view. The grilled pork was tasty, but it was the Trucha à la Plancha that stole the show. Paired with a local oatmeal stout brewed with coffee from the eco-park’s plantation, it was a culinary experience that left a lasting impression.

The Power of Nature

With our energy restored, we set out on a hike to the base of a giant waterfall. The terrain was challenging, but the path was well-marked, making it accessible even for novice hikers. As we approached the waterfall, the sheer power and volume of water cascading down the rocks was awe-inspiring. It was a humbling reminder of nature’s raw beauty and strength.

Throughout the day, Tom was the perfect guide, balancing education with the freedom to explore on our own. His knowledge of the native wildlife and the technical aspects of ziplining added depth to the experience, while his understanding of when to step back allowed us to enjoy the day as a couple.

This adventure was a perfect blend of adrenaline and tranquility, and it’s no wonder that it’s become one of my favorite experiences.
