Highlights
  • Montecatini Terme - Maximize your time in Cinque Terre with a hassle-free day trip led by our guide in a small group. You’ll be treated like a friend, not just a number, and you’ll always have company throughout the day. Meet your tour leader at Montecatini Centro train station (piazza Gramsci), board the train to the coast, and relax! The journey to Cinque Terre takes about two hours. During the trip, your guide will share fascinating insights about the scenic views and villages along the way, as well as what to expect in Cinque Terre. If you have any questions, your guide is there to assist.
  • Stazione La Spezia Centrale - After approximately two hours, you’ll arrive in La Spezia, the nearest city to Cinque Terre. Here, your guide will navigate you through the small train station to catch the next train to Riomaggiore. This beautiful coastal town is just a ten-minute ride away!
  • Riomaggiore - RIOMAGGIORE: Riomaggiore greets you with its brightly colored homes perched on dramatic cliffs. Spend about an hour exploring the charming alleyways and taking in the stunning views. Time flies in this village, and soon it will be time to move on. Your guide will lead you to the nearby town of Manarola.
  • Manarola - MANAROLA: Known for its colorful homes and exquisite white wine, Manarola is an ancient fishing village. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the azure sea, perfectly stacked houses, and lush grapevines in the distance. Your guide will point out the best photo spots (Manarola is famous on @Instagram for its views). With an hour to explore, you can wander this picturesque town at your leisure. Next, we head to Monterosso!
  • Monterosso al Mare - MONTEROSSO AL MARE: The train ride to Monterosso takes about ten minutes. Your guide will offer plenty of suggestions for enjoying your time here. Monterosso is renowned for its expansive white beaches and crystal-clear waters. Explore the historic town, savor some pesto pasta or fresh seafood for lunch, and find a spot on the beautiful coastline to relax, swim, and take memorable photos! You’ll have around two hours in Monterosso. The next stop is Vernazza, and you can choose to get there by boat (a 10-minute ride with a small additional fee) or continue by train for a few minutes.
  • Vernazza - VERNAZZA: From Monterosso, your guide will take you to the nearby town of Vernazza. The travel time is about five minutes, and you’ll have around an hour to enjoy this charming waterfront town. Visit the picturesque harbor, known as “the Pearl of the Cinque Terre.” If you’re lucky, you might see local fishermen returning with their catch in small blue boats. Take in the emerald waters and colorful houses as the sun begins to set, casting golden hues on the sea. Stroll through the ancient streets and pick up any last-minute artisanal souvenirs. It’s time to head back… your guide will lead you to the train to La Spezia.
  • Stazione La Spezia Centrale - The train back to La Spezia takes less than ten minutes. Follow your guide to the next train heading to Montecatini Terme.
  • Montecatini Terme - Relax and reflect on your unforgettable day during the couple of hours back to Montecatini. You’ll arrive in the early evening.

A day not to be missed! - What a beautiful day spent with our guide Eunice accompanied by his friendly dad Luigi. They guided us on this wonderful Cinque-Terre route, and all in French even if Eunice believes she does not speak our language well, we could understand everything she said. Cinque-Terre is a paradise in itself! Our only disappointment is the sea crossing from Monterosso to Vernazza, it is very short but the details of the excursion specify it. Many thanks also for the excellent service and dedication of Raneiri Viaggi from Montecatini Terme (I unfortunately do not remember the name of the one who served us) who despite the fact that there was no more room for the Thursday group that is 2 days after we showed up at their office, got us this visit with Eunice. We advise without any hesitation this agency including naturally the day trip to Cinque Terre.

Relaxing way to visit Cinque Terre - My wife and I really enjoyed this tour! It was nice to be able to take the train into four of the cities of Cinque Terre without having to worry about the details and planning. Our guide was wonderful as she explained a little bit about each city and gave us free time to explore. We were able to see four of the five cities have an aperitif at one city and lunch at another. The best part was that it was a small group and we didn’t have to worry about sitting on a bus with 50 other people going down those windy roads.

Must see Cinque Terre - We were picked up on time at our Hotel in the center of Montecatini and taken to the train station to await the tour bus from Florence. Within minutes it was there and we were on our way to Cinque Terre. Stopped at several of the towns, with time to walk around and take photos. At Monterooso we had more time and had a fabulous lunch on our own. Glad I went in March, as I can just imagine what the tourism must be like in the area during the summer months.

A Picture Perfect Excursion - Wow! This was my favorite tour of this vacation! Our guide, Felipa, was AMAZING! She kept us informed of what to expect and where to be while guiding us by bus, train, and boat. The 4 villages we visited were breathtaking! My photos look like the ones I've seen on puzzles and calendars. Wow, what a great excursion. A must do!

Rather rent a car and drive yourself - Everything got delayed and explanation by the guide was very short inadequate. Self guided tours on the net make more sense and at your own pace.

Not enough time..too busy schedule - The coach was packed when we were picked up and we were unable to sit together. The tour itself was very busy and we had limited time at each village. The tour would be better if it included the best village plus a boat trip with ample time to spend in the village to explore and relax.
