Amazing. One of the best excursions I’ve taken. - Viewing the mansion was pretty cool and the Mystic Lagoon night swim was amazing. I recommend it if you love old architect and the past history of places. The glowing waters was out of this world.

Great service! - Our driver Rolando was such a nice guy! He was honest and knowledgeable and made us feel really comfortable. Despite our Rose Hall your going long, he took everything in stride and was really very nice. I hope he gets to visit his grandma in the U.S. soon!

Wonderful tour - We did the tour of Montego Bay, Rose Hall and the bioluminescence lagoon. Dane, our tour guide was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We felt safe with him. We saw some great sites and had a great time. The tour size was small, just our family, and the price just right. Would recommend.

Good value - We enjoyed all of the stops on our tour. It was a great value based upon the prices of individual outings that I had previously priced out.

Great Night - What could have been a terrible rating turned into a great time. Our original date for our tour was cancelled and lacked communication regarding the cancellation. When we contacted the office, we were told that a message was left on our phones. Neither of us had a message. We explained to the office staff that we had one more night in Montego Bay before returning home. We were given the option for a refund or the possibility of taking the tour on the next night. We told them we wanted to go on the tour, however they could not guarantee it's availability and would call us later in the night to confirm. Fortunately we received a confirmation call later. On the next night to our surprise, my wife, daughter and I ended on a private guide tour. Shout out to Dane, our guide. He showed us the Montego Bay that most tourist don't experience. He was very knowledgeable and obviously proud of his Jamaican culture. the Rose Hall tour was informative. Our Luminous Lagoon tour was amazing. Since we ended up on a boat by ourselves, our experience was incredible and memorable. (definitely a bucket list item). Holiday Day Services, you redeemed yourselves by sending Dane to the rescue!

Great Excursion! - Overall, a great excursion for the money spent. Very diverse mixture of a rich cultural experience of the local MB city, historical info on the plantation house, along with a night cap at the Luminous Lagoon for a cold swim (or boat ride if you prefer not to get in the water). Would definitely recommend, especially if you do the NIGHT TOUR of Rose Hall. The location of the Luminous Lagoon started in a bar/restaurant with a live fire limbo show! Our driver Michael was cool as well. We were getting back late and the buffet at the resort would be closed before we got back so he stopped at a local restaurant so we could pick up food before returning. The only knock of the tour was that the tour time kept getting pushed back last minute so if we had other plans that evening we wouldn't had to ditch them. Other than that it was great.

Decent tour - For me the city tour part of this excursion was a bit of a let down. Our driver/guide told us very little information about what was in the city and didn’t even mention Sam sharpe square as we drove past. We did get to go to a church, where the bishop asked for a tip for letting us look around. The driver asked if we wanted to go shopping but everyone in our group agreed on not stopping but it was nice to have the option. The Rose hall night time part of the tour was pretty interesting. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures or videos around the property which would have been cool since it’s some beautiful architecture. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and there was a lot of interesting things you learn about plantation/slave life. After the tour we were able to get a drink at the bar and mingle for a bit. The bar had great staff and drinks but prices were a little more than average. Finally the we got to the luminous lagoon which was amazzzzing. The guides were awesome and it was a once in a lifetime experience. You get to swim for about 20 mins or so. It is really dark so you can see the glowing so not the best for really young kids but there’s no problem staying on the boat. Everyone is kind of rushed to get back into the tour van so don’t plan on being able to change into dry clothes. Make sure to bring plenty of tip money if you choose-as tips are asked for several times throughout the trip.

Fantastic evening activity - The only reason we don’t give 5 stars is because there was no sightseeing. The description says “see Montego Bay’s top sights, including Sam Sharpe Square and St James parish church.” Technicality, this might be true, because when our driver stopped at Rainbow, we were able to climb to the top floor and see a breathtaking view of the city. That was it for sightseeing, and our only disappointment. The tour of Rose Hall was truly outstanding. As we waited for our tickets, we enjoyed listrning to a young man play the drum and sing Jamaican folk songs. He had extra rhythm instruments (maracas and sticks), and invited guests to join in. My wife never passes up an opportunity to sing and play with other musicians, so she had a blast. The guide was informative and entertaining. The actors did a great job keeping us on our toes. Do not visit Monetgo Bay and not tour Rose Hall. It is an absolute must-do. The luminous lagoon was truly a wonder. My wife was the only one in our boat who swam in the lagoon. Photos are a bit pricey, but if you want proof of the phenomenon, you will want to drop $25. Your camera will not be able to capture the colors of the lagoon.

Nice evening outing for the price. - Let me first start out by saying the actual excursion of the Rose Hall and Luminous Lagoon were amazing and I do recommend both, however, we were scheduled to view the Rose Hall and then continue onto the lagoon (obviously it needs to be dark to see the glow) but due to our driver being 45 min late it never happened in that order which was very unpleasant. Here's why...Once we arrived at the location we were taken by boat out to the lagoon, all the lights were turned off and we were permitted to jump into the lagoon to see the glow (the water needs to be moving). Everyone had their swim suits on under their clothing already so we just stripped down and jumped in. It's so dark that you can barely see the person next to you swimming which was a little scary but the darkness enhanced the glow and your experience. Please note that I wouldn't bring small children to the lagoon for this reason. After we swam around for a little bit we climbed back into the boat and headed to shore… since the driver was late to begin with he was rushing us to get back into the van as soon as we got back on deck. We were soaked from swimming, needed to change and wanted to view/purchase the photographs that were taken of us while swimming. This was indeed irritating me to the point that as I waited in line soaked to view/ purchase the pictures that they took of me, I finally snapped at him and stated that we wouldn’t have to rush if he would have been on time to being with. The others caved under his pressure and got into the van soaked…. I wasn’t about to be rushed nor cave under pressure since I paid for the experience after all. After I purchased my photo, I was quickly taken to the van, still wet! I asked if I could change in which he replied that I could change in the van with the others. What!? Change in the van… I had a swim suit on, it’s not like I am just changing out of shorts to pants with underwear on… I refused as did the others which made him mad because now we were getting his seats wet…. The Rose Hall is located only a few minutes from the lagoon which is why they pair the two excursions. If we missed the tour at Rose Hall due to his pour planning, then that in my eyes rested upon the tour company to make things right. Needless to say, our whole group went on the tour completely soaked…nothing like being cold, wet, and annoyed trying to enjoy a tour. You see, I wanted to view the Rose Hall in the daylight to actually see the grounds/ plantation and the rich history that it holds, when it becomes dark the tour changes into more of a haunted house with people dressed up and jumping out at you... they still give you a history lesson but you’re not able to appreciate the beauty of the Rose Hall because it's dark and the grounds are not lite up. Hope my review has helped.

When you disembark in Montego Bay... -
When you disembark in Montego Bay, follow your guide on a 1-hour sightseeing tour that takes you through the city highlights. Drive by Sam Sharpe Square, named after the slave who led the 19th-century Christmas Slave Rebellion, view the neighborhood's blocks of impressive colonial buildings and learn about Jamaican history from your guide. You'll then drive through some of the residential neighborhoods featuring stately Georgian homes funded with money from the island's once-thriving sugar trade. View St James Parish Church, the home of stained glass pieces by English sculptor John Bacon.

Instead the driver showed up 20 minutes late, then spent the next 40 minutes driving to the opposite side of Montego bay to pick up the other half of our tour group who had been told the exact same pick up time we had. If we drove past anything of interest it wasn't pointed out. Instead we got rush hour traffic on the way back to Rainbow where we actually started the only part that could be considered a guided tour. They guided us into the store that we were required to go in before we could choose to 'pop out' anywhere else.

At this point we did have the advertised 45 minutes of 'hard sell.' However there was no real option to 'pop out' to, unless you count the small grocery store in the plaza.

Then onto Rose Hall... It was cute... a haunted house with actors and the typical attempts to startle people. The tour does start in the bar, where the tour guide leaves you for 10-15 minutes in the hopes you buy a drink, while the actors reset from the last group... and ends in the gift shop where you can purchase a picture of your group and various other souvenirs.

The lagoon was the best part of the evening, though did I regret booking in advance. Through our resort we could have taken a boat ride there rather than the driving through the traffic delays caused by the state of emergency guard check points.

A 'super saver' trip isn't a good deal if you don't get a large part of the value that is supposed to be included. Any money saved wasn't worth the time lost.
