Highlights

Greenwood Great House - The Greenwood Great House, a plantation home, was built in the early 18th century. Like many other Great Houses in Jamaica, it was constructed at a high elevation. This strategic choice allowed for a clear view of the plantation and enhanced security. Unlike the haunted Rose Hall Great House, Greenwood offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The house’s history and architecture are truly captivating. Feel free to take photos when your tour guide slows down as you pass by.

Rose Hall Great House - The Rose Hall Great House, an early 18th-century plantation home, is situated on a high elevation across thousands of acres in Rose Hall, Montego Bay. It was once owned by Annie Palmer, one of Jamaica’s most infamous and cruel plantation owners, who had hundreds of slaves. The house became haunted after her violent death in 1831 and remains eerie even in daylight. Although there is no stop at Rose Hall Great House on your way to Negril, your tour guide will share its history and slow down for photo opportunities.

Seven Mile Beach - Join us for an unforgettable trip to Negril’s famous Seven Mile Beach in Jamaica! Our friendly and knowledgeable tour guides will meet you at your hotel for a memorable day trip to Negril, located on the island’s western coast. The scenic ride from the resort follows the pristine northern coastline until you reach the carefully chosen spot at Seven Mile Beach.

You’ll have approximately 2 hours to enjoy swimming, relaxing, sunbathing, or participating in various watersport activities like snorkeling and boating for an additional fee. It’s rare to find a beach that stretches seven miles from end to end, so take full advantage of this unique opportunity. Enjoy a romantic walk or a jog on the sand.

Rick’s Cafe - Rick’s Café is a must-visit tourist spot where you can soak in the vibrant Jamaican atmosphere. As the sun sets, watch thrilling cliff jumps by professional divers or take the plunge yourself. Enjoy the lively ambiance, sip on exotic cocktails, and savor delicious Jamaican cuisine.

Some very good experiences, some not so good. - Picked up from our hotel in Falmouth, drove to seven Mile Beach in Negril taking in the countryside views. arrived at Seven Mile Beach at Boardwalk Village bar and restaurant where we were superbly looked after. Sun loungers right on the beach in front of the bar where fresh lobsters were being grilled straight from the day's catch. You can hire a locker if you want to go for a walk on this lovely beach, although it is open to the public even though there are hotels all along the front, so it is not quiet; however it was still a beautiful place. It actually rained for half an hour, so we ate in the bar where they had great food and cocktails at sensible prices. We could have just stayed here all day, evenings must be amazing.Sadly we had to go after some sunbathing and then off to shop for souvenirs at a small shopping mall nearby...some good bargains. Then on to Rick's Café, lots of stories about this place...yes it was in a magical location, yes the diver (just one today who only dived twice from 85 feet) was unbelievable. BUT...there are just too many people in there, hordes of spring breakers behaving like it's the first time on their own, drinking too much and being mostly obnoxious. There are mixes of age groups, but the whole atmosphere is geared toward the 18 - 24 age group... nothing wrong with that, but it is pitched as a laid back place to relax, which it is not. It has a great sound system, but most of the time it is teenagers squirming around on the dancefloor alongside little kids copying music video dancing. Add to that the crazy half drunk guys who choose to dive or jump from the lower cliffs and you probably will feel very old if you're over 30!! Add overpriced food and drinks and the day just seemed to drag on until the lovely sunset, after which there is a stampede for the exit. A great location spoiled by too many people and lots of showing off, however Seven Mile Beach was very good.
