The Rockland Bird Sanctuary hosts a variety of bird species, some native to Jamaica and others that have migrated from different countries to settle on the island. Nestled in the hills of a quaint community called Anchovy, it is about a 20-minute drive from Montego Bay. The tour duration ranges from 45 minutes to over an hour, depending on the group’s interest. Bird enthusiasts will find this tour captivating as numerous birds descend from the trees to the ground for feeding.

A highlight of the experience is interacting with hummingbirds, Jamaica’s national bird. Visitors can sit with a bottle of their preferred nectar, waiting for these birds to perch on their outstretched fingers to feed. Following this, a guided walk through the garden allows visitors to explore various trees and herbs before concluding the tour.
