Great Experience - It was a great experience. The guide was engaging and thoughtful. I really like their concept of trying to keep these tours smaller than most of the other groups out there to ensure people have a similar and positive experience. This tour felt like one would imagine and want such an trip to feel versus just being a face in a large crowd. I would recommend J&D to anyone.

Don’t hesitate booking - Excellent trip with Daniel. Highly recommended. Weather started off badly and he was very conscious about safety which was reassuring. Despite rain we had a great time - so would recommend to anyone no matter what the weather is. Daniel helped us see lots and we had fun exploring in the dark. Lovely guy - wish we were here longer so we could go again

Great experience with nightwalk - Our family had a great time with the night tour. Daniel and Jacson were very knowledgeable about the animals and insects. We saw many animals and birds like sloth and tucan, etc. Daniel even helped us took pictures through the scope! They were great pictures!

Worth it - Daniel was such a nice guide, very friendly and eager to share his knowledge, also very keen on finding the animals that I wanted to see. The tour is done on a private property next to a creek and there was no entrance fee, overall very good experience and worth your money

Beautiful and Unforgettable! - Jocsan and his cousin Daniel took us on an incredibly beautiful night tour. We were running late because of a dinner that went on longer than expected, but Daniel (who picked us up) waited graciously and did not make us feel rushed at all. The tour itself was on private land near a rushing creek, with both new and old growth forest as well as some banana tree plantation area and man made ponds. We saw beautiful sleeping birds, tiny frogs, fascinating insects and were lucky enough to see some incredible stars in the night sky as well. Jocsan and Daniel are both very knowledgeable, kind, enthusiastic and overall great guides. Jocsan even sent us some great pictures he took on the tour as well. A very worthwhile experience, and also a good value!

Great Night Tour - We just completed our first night walk with our guide, Jocsan. We were picked up on time at our hotel and were brought to a private farm. My family and I had a very enjoyable time, and found him and his wife enthusiastic and friendly. On this walk, we were able to see many animals and insects, including Kinkajou, Wolf Spider, Tarantula, 2 species of tree frog, many species of insects including praying mantis, and many species of birds including crested guan. The provided flashlights and the telescope views were able to bring us all into the action. Best of luck and Pura Vida!

Great wildlife viewing - Tour guides have great eyes, found tons of animals we would never have spotted. Frogs, possum, porcupine, sleeping toucans galore, and more. Great communication before and during tour. Highly recommended.

We Lukas just now NEW From a multitude of operators, we chose J&D to guide us around the Monteverde nocturnal cloud forest. And we would recommend anyone to do the same! Jocsan and Daniel are as knowledgeable as they are enthusiastic about the creatures of the night. Whatever question we threw at them, we always got an answer that was informative and yet still interesting for our two teenagers. We saw two species of tree frog, two sleeping toucans and three other species of birds. Next to that and many insects we had the pleasure to see a porcupine, two kinkajous and a sloth!! The fact that they operate on private property instead of in the national park saved us the entry fee for the latter. All in all definitely a very worthwhile good two hours spend and certainly value for money!

Awesome a must do excursion !! - We booked this trip last minute & so glad we did it ! Jocson & Daniel picked us up at our hotel in their car for 6 PM tour. Finca Lantana was only 5-10 minutes from Hotel Belmar. First half it was raining & sec half cleared up but didn’t matter as forest is dense so don’t get that wet. Both guides were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, also helped us taking pics on our phone thru their telescopes. We were lucky to see sloth, Armadillos, porcupine, kill billed toucan, Lesson’s motmot, emerald glass frog, spiders, insects during the 2 hr walk. It was a unique lifetime experience ! Highly recommend it !!! Do not miss this….
