Oscar is a great guide! Given a chance we'll go with him again. - We booked the night guided tour and next morning Monteverde reserve morning walk with Monteverde Wild. We liked our quide (Oscar) a lot! Very knowledgable, passionate nature lover and guide! We enjoyed his company. One technicality to know: not all quides are equipped with the same types of telespopes. Some have more powerful devices (as did Oscar), including cellphone attachment on the telescope. So all group can see the focused image on the phone (and take photos which Oscar share with you later). We've noticed some other guides (almost half of those we met in the forest) have simpler and smaller scopes without a phone attachment mechanism. We really liked our tours. Even we didn't see many anymals. We only saw couple toocans, few other birds, a couple of snakes, spiders, tarantula, wild pig and many-many interesting plants.

A Tour With Oscar Is A Must - A tour with Oscar Perez is a must while you are visiting Monteverde! We feel so fortunate to have had Oscar as our guide on two hikes while we were visiting. Our family did the Cloud Forest Night Walk and also a day hike at the Curi-Cancha Reserve. Oscar's knowledge of the cloud forest is limitless. We learned a great deal of information and saw so many amazing animals. It is obvious that Oscar is so very passionate about the rainforest and eager to share all he knows. His ability to spot a large variety of animals is unbelievable. One of the best parts about our tours were the unbelievable photos we took. Oscar generously gave us full access to the camera on his telescope. With his expertise, he set up the camera with the perfect settings and allowed us to video and snap as many pictures as we wanted to. At the end of each hike he AirDropped all of the footage to our device. This is truly unique to Oscar's tours. We can't thank him enough. We now have incredible memories of our cloud forest adventures.

Fantastic! - Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly! Would highly recommend a night tour to see all the beautiful night creatures that live in the reserve! Despite the rain, we had an amazing time learning and seeing all the creatures!

Fantastic Tour, not to be missed. - This was a fantastic tour. Oscar is a very knowledgeable guide. This is the second tour we did with him. We saw so much wildlife and learned so much. At night the forest is alive. It was a fascinating experience. It’s not for nothing that Oscar is one of the highest-rated guides in Monteverde. We completely recommend this trip. If you do nothing else i Monteverde do this tour and the Morning Walk in the Cloud Forest with Oscar. You will have one of the experiences of a lifetime.

Best experience in Monteverde! - Beautiful experience! Me and my family stayed at Monteverde Wild’s new accommodation last month, we did a night tour and a natural history tour with Oscar and I was very pleased with the attention he provided. I 100% recommend this place if you want to inmerse yourself in a green, cozy and comfy experience. It's a great option considering its price and location, nly one minute away driving from the main downtown, Santa Elena. Here are some of the pics I took during my vacation!

Fantastic fun - would highly recommend - We booked Monteverde Wild for the night walk having used him for the Cloudforest tour the day before. As a wildlife photographer I was so pleased with his help we wanted to use him again. The night tour didn’t disappoint! Oscar (Monteverde Wild) worked so hard trying to get us to be able to see everything we wanted, from Snakes to sloths, Armadillos to insects! Couldn’t recommend more!!

Amazing Experience - This was one of the highlights of our trip! Oscar was really friendly, knowledgeable, and interactive with our group. It's obvious that he's really passionate about wildlife and Monteverde. Our group size was great (5 people), and Oscar worked hard to show us animals around the reserve. We saw lots of sleeping birds, a viper, several bugs, and a sloth with a baby. I'd definitely do this again if I ever return to Monteverde!

Cool experience. - Oscar Perez led us on our night tour. It is obvious he is passionate about what he does and his enthusiasm shows. We happened across a rare sighting of an anteater with a baby on its back and it was almost as much fun watching Oscar's reaction as seeing the animals themselves. The tour was informative and interesting and worth doing for anyone interested in nocturnal wildlife viewing. The only negative about the tour being held on private property is that the occasional car came driving through along the road. Oscar sent us the spectacular photos he took through his telescope, which will be great reminders of our tour.
