Saw amazing animals - We had a great time! The experience went by so fast. We got lucky and saw a sloth and kinkajou right off the bat and many more interesting insects and animals. Our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable.

Amazing night and would happily book again. - I was hesitant to book because of the reviews but I am very glad we chose them. I started off by booking the wrong night. (Jan 11) and they showed up to the hotel we weren't at yet to pick us up. They called on what app and I told them I made an error. They said no problem and we could come the next night with no penalty. Once we arrived we were paired with a group of people who seemed to be very loud and might have had to much to drink. They moved is to another group to make sure we wouldn't be bothered by them.
At the start of the tour we did find it did seem rushed but there is a large amount of area to cover. Once something was found we were told afew facts about it and we only moved ok once everyone was ready. The tour guide was very knowledgable and make sure the kids understood and brought them right up front.
On our trip we saw a sloth, a Mexican porcupine, along with two snakes and frogs. The hilight was chasing kinkajou's thought the forest. The guide had us running everywhere to see them. It was amazing.
Thank you for such a great night.

Great night hike! - We saw SO many animals! The trail was very slick and muddy, steep in some places, as it is more likely to rain more in the evening. The guides were wonderful!
We saw a sloth, toucan, two viper snakes, scorpions, leaf cutter ants and a praying mantis.
We had little kids, ended up carrying our four year old (note you will get muddy carrying kids who will have very muddy shoes), but our 8 and 10 year old did great. There are a lot of people but groups split up so it’s not so bad.

At night you see so much more - Great experience! At night you can see so many more animals, but do you need the Kinkajou's guides! They are very experienced they coordinate among each other so that everyone can see all animals spotted that night. My Group had a great evening.

All the snakes - Herro? Cero? (Unsure sorry!!) was a fab guide. So enthusiastic. We saw 3 green vipers, frogs, sleepy toucans and motmot, kinkajous playing, sloth and scorpion. At one point, because of the wind, a snake was on the roped path area and our guide created an obstruction to stop people getting too close which was good. Overall a success. Our group was small, it didn't feel rushed and our guide gave out so many facts.

Night tour Monteverde - An enthusiastic Guide (I think his name is Joaquin) who takes the time to show everyone the animals well. He explains every animal, and knows a lot about it. He spots animals from a distance I don't know how he does it, but he does it! Some animals (such as a green frog) we have not seen, but an animal that is threatened with extinction. It's never possible to predict which animals you'll see, and that makes it just as much fun!
Recommended to do. We had a very quiet group (possibly due to the low season).

I choose to not go do hard to rate - I didn't end up going as the was a thunder/lightning storm and a lot of rain right before. I was tired and skipped the tour. When I reached out to the guide the mentioned that they make the decision about weather 20 minutes before and only cancel if there's lightning. I'm sure it would have been good and only dropped a star because I thought their weather decision process could be more clear on their posting.

Lots of animals, but felt rushed and contrived - I did one of the night tours. While we did see lots of animals, including a couple kinkajous, I didn't much care for the experience. I felt rushed the entire time, which detracted from the experience. You're in a small group, among several groups, each with a guide, running around the jungle looking for critters. When you find one, you stare at it for a few minutes before running off to find the next one. Guides are on walkie-talkies to radio in to other guides whenever/wherever a critter is found. The guides are nice, but you certainly get the feeling they are just interested in making sure you see animals so they get a tip. Bathrooms on site. You will get a flashlight for the duration of the tour.

Not my Thing - First the positive - the guide was nice and we saw a lot of animals. However, it is a pretty mass event and we rush through the area, which we found stressful. I wouldn't book it again

Disappointed - There are plenty of other night walks to chose from. This was not great. Too many other groups of people with flashlights on nearby trails and talking. Felt "staged." Also only got 90 minutes not two hours as listed.
