At night you see so much more - Great experience! At night you can see so many more animals, but do you need the Kinkajou's guides! They are very experienced they coordinate among each other so that everyone can see all animals spotted that night. My Group had a great evening.

Fun night! - This is a great and affordable night tour. Our guide was super knowledgeable and very respectful of the environment and animals. I think his name was Jerro? (Pronounced Herro? Ginger hair?) He took some great photos on my phone and he was great. The shuttle picked us up from our hostel which was very convenient. I see a lot of the reviews are upset about too many tour groups, but that didn’t bother us, as you go off separately for most of the time and only sometimes cross paths. We saw a Pygmy rain frog, a horned tarantula, motmots, toucanettes, trogons, and scorpions. Unfortunately, we didn’t see any mammals, but that’s just how wildlife goes. I enjoyed the leaf-cutter ants and learning about them. For 26$, this is worth it.

Great night tour - We got lucky to see many night animals… the tour guide was knowledgeable and very nice… we where small group so it was easy to see everything and hear the guide even if you were at the end.

A small glimpse into the night jungle - I'll echo what many say about there being too many groups going out at once. However, that aside, I really enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very informative, telling us lots of info about the animals we saw and some we didn't. We saw a scorpion that was biolumescent (my kids thought this was cool), a tarantula, a turquoise browed mot-mot, a fiery billed aracari toucan and got a really good view of a sloth. There was also a great moment where our guide searched for a kinkajou and it suddenly appeared out of the trees in plain sight. You have to be a little sensible about wildlife hunt tours, as animals do not always do what you want and appear. It was simply fascinating being in the jungle, at night and trying to look for things.

Lots of animals, but felt rushed and contrived - I did one of the night tours. While we did see lots of animals, including a couple kinkajous, I didn't much care for the experience. I felt rushed the entire time, which detracted from the experience. You're in a small group, among several groups, each with a guide, running around the jungle looking for critters. When you find one, you stare at it for a few minutes before running off to find the next one. Guides are on walkie-talkies to radio in to other guides whenever/wherever a critter is found. The guides are nice, but you certainly get the feeling they are just interested in making sure you see animals so they get a tip. Bathrooms on site. You will get a flashlight for the duration of the tour.

Not my Thing - First the positive - the guide was nice and we saw a lot of animals. However, it is a pretty mass event and we rush through the area, which we found stressful. I wouldn't book it again

Night tour - Night tour with a thunderstorm but protected by the Canopy of he forest. Saw a sleeping motmot, Kinkajou, one sloth. toucan and a scorpion. Surprised we saw no frogs or vipers. Lots of walking up and down at a fast pace

Good, but could have been a better experience. - We were excited to go out on this tour as it came highly recommended but I was disappointed. I understand we are looking for wild wildlife, and no one can guarantee sightings on any trip like this, but I felt our guide spent too much time rushing the group around trying to spot the mystery kinkajou that other guides and groups were also trying to view (I maybe saw a tail as the guide rushed us around with a bright flashlight pointed at the canopy). When we gave up on the kinkajou and moved at a slower pace and could actually view the frogs, sleeping birds and the sloth (my wife's favourite part) the trip got better. It was good, but could have been better.

Paid a lot and seen very little. - Far too busy and saw little to no animals. Paying too much for what you see is definitely not worth the money.
We saw a spyglass of two centimeters and two legs of a spider and a sleeping bird.

Great great disappointment - A 2 acre patch of land, approximately 70 people wandering around in small groups with flash lights and guides with walkie talkies, surprised we even saw 3 small frogs, 3 sleeping birds and a dead scorpion! Over subscribed, far from Eco tourism.
Imagine they have driven everything away from there. Felt conned, felt immoral that I was one of those people tramping around.
Avoid, there are better ones, small sustainable conservation minded organisations, check how many people first. Our guide knew little, was un-enthusiastic and we ended up standing around in the dark looking at pictures in a flyer of all the things we wouldn’t see!!
