Great experience! - My friends and I had such a great time! Juan Carlos was our tour guide and he did a great job of spotting hidden animals and explaining the flora and fauna of the area. I would recommend this tour to anyone interested in learning more about Monteverde wildlife and seeing some amazing animals! We had such trouble seeing anything on our own, so it was incredibly helpful to have Juan Carlos point things out for us (and take photos!).

Excellent night walk spotting numerous animals birds and insects - Roy was so knowledgeable about the wildlife and the trees/plants and he was very friendly and happy to answer all of our questions. We saw sloths, kinkajous, various birds including an emerald toucan, hummingbird & motmot bird, two types of frog, a tarantula, scorpion, 3 different sized vipers, and various insects including moss stick insect, regular stick insect and headlamp click beetle which my partner and I mistook for a firefly but Roy showed us in detail the beetle’s bioluminescent “headlamps” and his clicking/jumping behaviour! The majority of these creatures were very well hidden but somehow Roy was able to spot them and point them out to us and line up his telescope for us to see in detail. As some other reviews have said, there are multiple night tours taking place in the same area but this actually helps us to see more wildlife since the guides help each other out and let each other know where they have spotted something for us to see. I would definitely recommend this night walk - thank you Roy!

Exciting Night Tour - Roy was a great tour guide. He pointed out many animals we never would have noticed on our own (snakes, spiders, insects, birds, sloths) and we learned a lot too. The park was busy but he did a good job of navigating the crowds and our group was small. Would definitely recommend!

A fun night hike! - Roy is a good guide. We had a pleasant tour and saw some insects, birds, and a sleeping howling monkey on top of a tree. We had to pay extra $13 per person to enter the preserve.

Not worth it - Too many People at the same small forest. More than once we were 30-40 People at the same spot. And also spent alot of time using whatsapp. But we followed the other groups. So not neccesary. We could see groups all over. The guides were too busy talking to eachother.
