Great guide despite rubbish weather - Not particularly impressed with Montevideo, but the rainy, grey day didn't help. Guide was lovely. Friendly, interesting & informative. Easy to find meeting point. Good value for money

Amazing experience - Yellow penguins are great guys! They think of everything - comfort & needs. The Vans they use are about 18 seat so it’s small tour which makes it more personal. They’re very knowledgeable & helpful. They provide water and treated us to a local treat! They made our experience top notch. Will definitely use them again.

An all time best excursion - This was an all time best excursion. We chose it in Viator and got very lucky with Yellow Penguin’s Diego & Martin. It was a small group tour in a clean and comfortable mini-van. The tour was the perfect length giving us time to enjoy the city. Both are native to Montevideo. Martin’s enthusiasm and knowledge of history was very impressive. We look forward to joining them on future South American port stops.

Great tour of the highlights of Montevideo - We had a great tour with Sebastian. We covered a lot of sights during the nearly 4 hour tour. We particularly liked walking through the historic city center. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Montevideo for the first time.

Uninspiring Montovideo - The city did not impress on this tour. It was a Sunday, and Montovideo presented as quite dreary. Even the presidential palace was adorned with scaffolding erected in anticipation of a change in presidency. The markets were sparse, to say the least. Only the beaches lifted our experience. The commentary was sporadic; the guide tried very hard but her English was poor. Could not recommend.

Take the wine tour instead. - I didn't know where we were going, except for the stadium - clear on 2 world cups and 2 Olympic gold medals. The stadium is a bad stop. You can buy something at the gift store, but there's nothing else to see. We didn't know where we were headed, why that spot was important, what the history was or the other interesting things around it. Most interesting information shared was about the Nazis being removed from Uruguay and going to Argentina. Host had major dislike of Buenos Aires. Not helpful. We passed beautiful murals, passed gorgeous architecture. We passed statues and squares. No mention of those unless we asked. Didn't point out particular neighborhoods, didn't talk about the history of the city, or about Uruguay in general - unless it was about football. No idea why we went to the stagecoach statue. Could have cared less about the congress building, I'd rather have waved at those and spent more time at the square. Best part of the tour was 2 small blocks walking ending at Plaza Constitution and the church.
