Enriching experience - The museum has original pieces of both the plane and the passengers. You have a lot of valuable information. It starts from the basement upwards and is a very enriching experience.

Great museum in Montevideo! - Great little museum. They've done a great job pulling together artifacts and information about the crash to help visitors understand what the victims endured. Definitely worth a visit!

Awesome museum! - We had planned on visiting this museum when it opened at 10:00am, but when we passed by at 9:00, the founder/director Jörg Thomsen was by the door, and invited us to come in then. With no one else there he took 40 mins of his time to show us around before leaving us to explore on our own. Whether you already know the story or not, this is an incredible museum, explaining the tragic crash with personal items of the 45 passengers & crew, parts of the plane, and in more detail than shown in either of the big movies about it. Well worth it!

Excellent! - Really interesting and well put together small museum with cooperation and support from the survivors and the families that died. A real tribute to them and the strength of the human spirit. Video testimony, personal items and some that survived the wreckage. There is even a simulation chamber so you can experience the cold temperatures they had to survive in for 73 days. Well worth the 8 USD admission. We spent well over an hour here

Must see in Montevideo - I was always struck by this story and for my work I had the possibility of knowing Fernando Parrado personally, my admiration for him is total, in January I went to know this small but incredible museum that teaches you the epic that the survivors of that accident had to endure. It has a simulator where you recreate only 10% the cold and wind what they had to endure on the mountain, there is also a video where the survivors tell you what they lived those 72 days, then there are 3 floors with photos original clothes and accessories and some replicas of that epic battle what they had to fight against Mother Nature, I recommend it 100% the cost of entry is only 8 dollars and are worth them.

Great Job with a Difficult Subject - This was a very informative museum that covered every possible aspect of the tragedy and subsequent survival of 16 of the original 40 persons on that fateful flight. They even offer a simulator so you can experience the frigid temperatures that they endured for 72 days. Very moving
