Good walk to appreciate street mural art - I had a great time learning about where Montreal’s street art comes from: many from the annual mural festival. We saw work from some big names like Shephard Fairey and Le Diamantaire (not a mural but one of his mirror diamonds). Our guide Chris was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about street murals. I learned about specific artists and how various murals were created and have evolved with additional graffiti or plant growth. We explored nooks and alleys in the Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood. We had a bathroom break halfway through the tour, with opportunity to get a coffee or just rest for a few minutes. This is a good tour for art appreciation but less about neighborhood culture or history.

Fantastic - We have gone on walking tour all over the US, and spade and palacio are the very best. Our tour guide, Jeff, was extraordinarily knowledgeable about the murals and the artists who did them as well as about Montreal history and culture in general. Best tour ever.

Knowledgeable and fun - Thank you for a wonderful tour! Chris was our tour guide. He was so passionate and knowledgeable about the street art and really encouraged the group to share what they thought about each piece. I love S&P’s tours, I did a bike tour in October 2022 and will be doing the food tour later this month! I love the little guide booklet they give at the end with local recommendations.
