Fun excursion - We visited several different areas. One place we held on to a rope and were very slowly towed around. We saw lots of rays as well as turtles and many fish. We also snorkeled above marae tikis that had been tossed in the water by early missionaries, according to our gulde. And we saw black tipped sharks and more rays at our last stop. It was a great time. Our guide was excellent and the captain was also. We would definitely book again.

We decided to book the tour after our hotel recommended Captain Taina. It didn’t disappoint! Outstanding in every way ! - Mind blowing good! The team are experts Vete the captain and Pierre our guide! A wealth of fantastic information and then the unforgettable experience! We saw in one view 9 turtles together and shoal of eagle rays perhaps 10-12!! Couldn’t count them I was so excited! We were then taken to a place where black tipped sharks and common stingrays congregated and swam around us with a blue fin tuna and a multitude of other fish! Just like an aquarium but for real! We then saw the underwater Tikis which were explained to us. Pierre’s knowledge of the history, legends and passion for Moorea was infectious and so enjoyable! My husband who is hard to please said it was the best boat trip he has had ! Thank you so much and to other Pierre who welcomed us at the beginning!

Awesome half day snorkeling excursion - Our guide was amazing! We saw so many turtles, manta rays, fish and more. Getting in the water with stingrays and blacktip sharks was incredible!

Sharks, Rays, Turtles, Tiki, Beautiful waters, amazing guides. - Moorea is beautiful, no matter what. But being able to swim with beautiful sea creatures in the most wonderful warm clear waters is an experience not to be missed. The tour company Captain Taina was reliable, and picked us up at the port right on schedule. Our captain Mara and our guide Chris were great. I am a nervous snorkeler with not much experience and they made me feel safe and well taken care of, checking that all of us were OK and enjoying ourselves. The Glass bottom boat was a great option for my husband who did not want to go in the water. The half day tour will get you to the tender port early enough to have time to explore the island afterwards.

Thank you Captain Taina... - Thank you Captain Taina for the awesome glass bottomed boat tour! Again it was the best excursion we have had on the Majestic Princess cruise. We were in the lagoon with the sharks , rays and all kinds of fish. We saw turtles , statues and even 2 whales breaching ! A truly unforgettable experience! Wonderful tour - We loved this tour! We saw many turtles, many eagle rays, trumpet fish and more. The guide and captain were very helpful and informative. This tour is family owned and care about their impact on the environment. The green turtles started living in this area because Captain Taina rescued a green turtle when it was captured in a net.

Trip of a lifetime - This was the highlight of our trip. Captain Taina and crew were amazing, they showed us around and took us to see close to 20 turtles, eagle rays, large stingray, sharks and the timber tiki. The lunch at the end of the tour was the best food we have had from anywhere on the island.

Chill laid back day with less snorkeling than expected but very safe for children - Keep your expectations low as the amount of snorkeling time is fairly minimal. It's certainly nice to see the open ocean and the stunning view of Opunohu Bay. Chris was a very charming guide who mostly spoke in English. There's a bit of pressure put on half day tourists throughout to add lunch and full day. However, we resisted! The only drift snorkeling is with green sea turtles and eagle rays in the first location. They split the group in half and the first group goes snorkeling while the other half looks through the glass bottom for green turtles and eagle rays. Then you switch. Thankfully, our groups did not have to hold on to a rope attached to the boat which we saw other boats doing. Otherwise you boat around mostly. There is a little ruse where they ask you if you want to go whale watching and then boat around in the open ocean not actually looking for whales since they do not have a license to actually swim with whales. After that, you can snorkel around an underwater Tiki art installation in the lagoon with some explanations from Chris. The art replica was installed about 30 years ago and the volcanic rock has attracted some coral to grow on it. Following the art exhibition, you can enjoy the waist deep shallow water at Stingray world where Chris plays with the stingrays with some fish concealed in his fist, and you can also see the shy reef sharks up close. The half day tourists then have to get on a different boat to head home. It was definitely a chill laid back morning on the water! Great for families with children and anyone not confident in the ocean. There was a lot of safety equipment including one pool noodle per person and the possibility of holding on to the life preserver ring as you snorkel with the sea turtles and eagle rays. Definitely a fun morning to relax and enjoy the fresh air and water view.
