Excellent Tour Guide - I have been on a few tours and by far John is the best tour guide I have ever had! His knowledge is exceptional! He went out of his way to show us things off the beaten path that I would have never seen. I am so thankful for my experience yesterday and I look forward to doing another tour, and I would definitely want John as my tour guide! Kind, funny and knowledgeable! Very sweet man! And Kira was so extremely sweet, she was our driver and we just all loved her! Very kind very accommodating overall it was the best experience we have had to date

Fantastic 6-hour tour with THE best local guide! - We need new superlatives to describe our guide, Nick (a true local), & our day in a small, but vibrant & fascinating part of the northern Cotswolds. Nick was delightful, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, funny, & charming. He is an excellent driver & knows the back roads if he needed to skirt around heavy weekend traffic. We went off the beaten path doesn't happen with larger tours & we went places a coach can't go. No time wasted waiting for others to get on/off a coach. We had a fantastic lunch at a pub that specializes in home-made cooking. The 6-hour tour is worth every single penny. We are looking forward to taking other tours here & will request Nick specifically. We have traveled A LOT & can very confidently say that Nick is one of the VERY BEST local guides we've ever had the pleasure of spending a day with.

Cotswold - What an amazing tour/guide we had. Nick Long grew up in the Cotswold and he knew all the little/big tidbits. The views and villages were just what you think villages of Outer London are. Thank you Nick for the wonderful day. Texas/Georgia Sisters

One of the most beautiful visits - It was marvelous ! Nick guided me perfectly the way I like. He told so much interesting things, took me to the most inspiring places of the Cotswolds … let me do some walking on my one ( which I like to do), gave very good recommendations about food and lunch…. I felt very comfortable. It was an amazing day.. they were on my bucketlist for some time , but if you intend to visit this beautiful location, make sure Nick is with you. You will love the Cotswolds even more afterwards .

Outstanding Day with Nick - Having spent time in London during previous trips to the UK, my wife asked that we get out of the city to see the two university towns, a couple of the WW II military bases / towns where her father was based and flew his 35 bombing missions, and the English Countryside. We rented a car for a week and thoroughly enjoyed Cambridge and Oxford and were able to find airfields and museums and other military related landmarks just fine. Specific to the English Countryside, I asked her to do some research and to let me know specifically what she wanted to see and that I'd make it happen. She put together her wish-list of 6-8 towns / areas and as I was plotting out our route, I came to the conclusion we'd get a lot more than a drive-by if we were to use a tour guide. I did some research and came upon and booked the Cotswolds Private Day Tour with Nick. Nick picked us up at our hotel in Oxford and we spent a few minutes chatting and my wife let him know what she wanted to see. He responded back with "good choice", 'of course", "yes, you have to see that", and "absolutely". There were a couple that were too far out of the way and he told us honestly, that it would be better to toss them out on this trip and that would give us more time to really see the others. We agreed and we set off. We came to learn that Nick was born, raised, and still lives in the Cotswolds. We were even able to drive by the house where he grew up. Throughout the day, we were amazed at his knowledge and ability to communicate, not only relating to the Cotswolds, but in many other areas as well. To say Nick is well rounded would be a huge understatement. He was able to take us behind the scenes and through the gates of areas that other touring companies couldn't enter and he had an uncanny ability to know exactly where to stop his car so we could see various sites through the hedgerows. On several occasions, he would drop us off at the top of a town or village and have us walk downhill, explore the area, and meet him down the road. This gave us time to do some shopping, grab a coffee and a snack, etc. However, this walking aspect is totally optional. We stopped for lunch at a nice cafe type place atop a tall hill that had an awesome view. At the end of the day, we had the option to take the train back to Oxford or to have him drop us off back at our hotel. We chose the hotel route and as he knew all the back roads and less traveled routes, we made it back in record time with no traffic delays. I could go on and on, but for sure, if you want to see and learn about The Cotswolds, hook up with Nick and he'll do you right.

Nice experience - Good option if you like to see the whole area and different villages. Though the programme is pretty packed as the guide wanted to show as many villages as possible within 6 hours. But you have a proper understanding of the area as well as the villages that bus tours cannot enter. If you want to spend proper time in each village , plan your trip accordingly and eliminate some villages. Most beautiful ones from my point are Bourton on the water Broadway Lower Slaughter and upper slaughter( very small villages but not touristy so local feeling) Stow on the wolds + the areas that you can actually see the sheeps and the nature ( view is impressive)

The Cotswalds are... - The Cotswalds are gorgeous. We enjoyed our tour immensely and our young tour operator was really nice and accommodating. We would have preferred to stay with him but we had to switch off to a workmate who didn't have as nice a car, his car wasn't clean, and he wasn't as good as our contact and initial guide was. We would recommend though.
