Excellent enjoyable experience - Very interesting, well presented and well looked after, definitely worth a visit if you are in town. For a community initiative with bare minimum funding or financial assistance the result shows the dedication of the history of Mount Isa and the care by the staff and tour guides.

Well preserved piece of history. - What a fantastic piece of history. Our tour guides were so knowledgeable and friendly. It was great to see how the underground hospital was set up. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the Old Maternity Hospital and Tent House. Some of the equipment used back in those days was a bit of an eye opener. I thoroughly recommend doing this tour if you have the opportunity.

Grey Nomads on a Harley Trike around Australia - When we first arrived we were greeted by Suzanne and told we could help ourselves to tea and coffee before our tour. Before our underground tour we looked around the hospital museum and an informative talk about the war years. Going into the underground hospital was like stepping back in history. Being the only one of it's kind in Australia it's a must do for anyone visiting Mt Isa. Highly recommend 👌

A slice of history well presented - Right from the outset the young ladies enthusiast approach got us ready to enjoy the tour. This is a slice of history and one we should all be proud of. These were ordinary Australians who rose to the challenges of living and working in a remote part of this country. Add to that the very real threat of air raids and possible invasion. The fact that they did it themselves makes it all the more inspiring. The tent house was particularly impressive when you consider the lady was living there in the mid seventies. The museum is a testament to a ladies forward thinking in not throwing history away.
