Unique and highly enjoyable cooking experience in a beautiful setting - Wonderful cooking class in a beautiful setting. We really liked being away from busy Marrakech to spend a few hours in the countryside among orange, lemon and olive trees. It was very interesting to cook a traditional meal and to learn about Moroccan culture. Khaoula was patient and helpful, a great host.

Fun day out of Marrakech - Khoula was great, explained every dish clearly and supervised our cooking and shared the recipes. We had a relaxing walk around the farm and enjoyed our meal with Kula, where she answered all kinds of questions about Moroccan food and about herself. A fun outing!

Delicious, entertaining and enriching!!! - We’ve been to many cooking classes while travelling but this one stands out for many reasons. First, the farm setting is beautiful and the whole event was set outside amidst the orange trees. Khaoula was there waiting for us with a gorgeous display of locally grown produce which she expertly explained how to cut, season and cook. While waiting for our food to cook, we had fun touring the farm, seeing the animals and horses. What stands out was Khaoula’s openness to share with us the “Moroccan experience “ as seen from a local point of view. This was more than a cooking class and we feel enriched for it.

Tagine Cookery session - cooked the traditional way - As January is low season it was just 2 of us at this session. Khoula was very welcoming and offered mint tea on arrival. The session is outside as the ceramic tagines are cooked on traditional charcoal cookers. All the ingredients were laid out On a table on our arrival and after tea, Khoula began instructing us through the process of preparing both a vegetarian and chicken tagine . This is a hands on session . These take about 1hr 15 mins to cook and while waiting we had more tea and Khoula took us on a tour of the farm. We ate the tagines for lunch and were accompanied by soft drinks , bread and fruit . Khoula was patient , hospitable and answered all our questions and they were not all cooking related ! We had a good giggle along the was as I was over generous with the black pepper and was politely reminded a level teaspoon ! Khoula shared the recipes after the session. I would highly recommend this cookery session . The only downside is it is on the flight path to the support but this didn’t bother us or impact the session

Unique Experience Cooking Tagine at a Farm - We had such a great time cooking with Khaoula at the farm. One of our highlights in Marrakech. We had a very nice driver come to our hotel to pick us up and drop us off after— it made everything super convenient. Khaoula was the sweetest and had everything prepared for our arrival. We had a blast learning how to make berber & chicken tagine, and while everything was cooking, we got a tour of the farm where we saw lemon, orange, and olive trees as well as horses and a camel. The setting was beautiful, and it was nice to get out of the city for a bit. We then enjoyed our meal together, and the tagine was heavenly. Khaoula was knowledgeable, kind, and a great host. Such a fun experience, we highly recommend!

Great food, great host, great experience! - We had a lovely morning and early afternoon with our host, Khaoula. She made us so welcome and led us through the preparation of our salad, vegetable tagine and chicken tagine. Whilst we waited for it to cook over the coals she took us on the tour of the farm where we saw the many horses, pregnant cow, chickens, camel, sheep, several cats and the olive, lemon and orange trees (where we picked and ate a fresh orange). We then headed back to eat our food, which was delicious. The activity takes place about 30 minutes from the city centre and the package included a pre-arranged pick up from our Riad and return journey at the end. We had a great time with Khaoula and would recommend this experience to others.
