A day in the mountains - A great day out in the mountains. The highlight was visiting the walk up to the waterfall with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The driver Tariq (apologies if I spelt this incorrectly) was very helpful and on time.

Fantastic day trip - Had a fantastic private trip to the Atlas Mountains with our wonderful driver Bob. Communication was excellent and he arrived at our Riad 5 minutes before our scheduled pick up time. The visit to the traditional Berber house was a real insight into local life, the Argan Oil cooperative was fantastic and we bought lots of local produce, but at no time felt pressured into doing so. The highlight of the day had to be the hike with our local guide Ahmed up to the waterfalls and then a quick drink stop by the river. To end the day we had a quick camel ride in local dress which was great fun! If you are looking for a private trip with a knowledgeable driver book this one, you won’t be disappointed

Average - It’s clear from the previous reviews Zakaria was a great guide, however ours was Ayoub. The privacy meant we were able to get from each destination efficiently and I suppose each spot was more high value (compared to groups). However we were fairly disappointed with our guide. We didn’t get any overview of the itinerary or much other information. We felt slightly anxious at times as he was on his phone a-lot, driving up a mountain! The tour itinerary was done backward and the 1.5h camel ride was a 15 minute stop on the side of the road. We didn’t ride them as we felt a little bad, 5 mothers with their children. We weren’t provided with blue scarfs as stated. The mountain climb was lovely and the lunch too - all included and we weren’t expected to tip however the waiter did try to charge us 200 diram. It would have only been 70 if we did have to pay! The cafe was also a tourist spot, there were some lovely local restaurants next door (which the itinerary suggested we’d be going to those). We also didn’t go to a local Berber home. No free water either so bring a bottle. We also waited for our driver to have breakfast, talk to security and wash his car. Overall, We expected a little more for the price to pay, didn’t get what was stated, however may be good if you’re in a large group.
