Volubilis, a Roman city in Morocco, lies in proximity to both Fez and Meknes, and is situated not far from Rabat. Nestled in a region known for its rich agricultural heritage, Volubilis was first established in the 3rd century BC as a Phoenician/Carthaginian settlement. The city saw significant growth during the Roman era starting from the 1st century AD, eventually extending to approximately 40 hectares within its fortification walls.
