Mikumi National Park - Located 33 km from Morogoro town, approximately a 30-35 minute drive, this remarkable park is celebrated for its diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes. Covering around 3,230 square kilometers, it is part of the larger Nyerere (Selous) ecosystem. Visitors to Mikumi can witness a variety of animals, including large herds of elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and wildebeests. Predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas are also frequently spotted.
The park is home to some rare species, like the African wild dog and the elusive eland. It includes tropical rainforests, mountain and miombo forests, grasslands, and steppes.
