We sometimes need to wait for the Northern lights to appear, and even change location over the evening. The guide is always in contact with our office and other locals for details on where the visibility is best each evening in case they need to change location. We always try to go where the crowds are not, but can not always guarantee that others looking for the Northern lights will not show up at the same spot.

Amazing Experience of the Northern Lights! - Amazing company and guide took us to spots that would allow the best ability to see and take pictures of the Northern Lights. This tour guide company was fun, friendly, and very dedicated to ensure everyone had the best experience!

Amazing, OMG, Breathtaking. - Daniel, our driver and guide, was very knowledge and knew how to find the Aroura Boreal as soon as we got out of the city. We were very lucky because it was April 27, 2024 which is very late in the season, any way I was very happy and glad I took this tour, I highly recommend it, its worth the price.
The experience seeing the Northern Lights was unreal for me.

Prep for the cold but worth every minute! - Frozen solid but the sight of the lights made it worth it! We had a good forecast so we didn't have to drive very far out to catch the lights. Our guide Michael was an entertaining guy and tried to keep the little bus engaged on our way there. The hot chocolate and cinnamon buns were a nice addition to the brilliant colours and pictures taken that night.

Loved the passionate approach - Daniel our guide was really passionate about northern lights and he managed to find a gap a we saw northern lights despite being out of season.

Bucket List Item Checked - We didn’t expect to have a chance to see the Northern Lights during our trip in early May, but when the forecast looked good, we booked this tour last minute. Daniel was a great guide, and we managed to see the lights early in our chase! The rest of the chase wasn’t as lucky, but seeing anything in May, much less the Aurora with the naked eye, felt like a gift. We learned a lot from Daniel about how to chase the lights too, which will help us on future visits.

The little tour that could … - When I booked the tour, it said pick up at my hotel. Shortly before the tour, I received word, I’d be picked up for a 11 pm tour at a bus stop and was told it might take up to 30 min. I arrived before 11pm., waited and waited. I called Viator and attempted to contact the tour agency. Finally at 1140 pm, the van showed up and the driver and I was informed the wait could be up to an hour which it didn’t. This is in marked contrast to a tour I took the next day, where the company and driver called/communicated with passengers. The guide gave a good presentation. We drove around but no Northern Lights. I was hopeful though none of the other tours were running in May. We received cocoa and cinnamon buns without napkins. Back at hotel by 3am.
The company did guarantee a return tour if I return and provided a link for photos from earlier this year. Low rank for communication. 3 for trying and presentation

Mediocre Experience - For the price paid for a small group tour, I don't think this tour was an extraordinary experience. I have previously gone with tour groups in northern Norway, and the guides are always enthusiastic about finding new places to scout for the lights or show interesting topographic features around the area while waiting for the aurora to show. While there were clear skies, our tour guide Palli simply drove us 15 minutes out of Reykjavik and parked on the side of the road. We stayed in this single spot, which was obstructed by power lines and road traffic barriers, for the duration of the tour. There was little to no engagement with the guests, and others even mentioned their disappointment with the experience.

Terrible tour and the guide had no idea, inventing seeing imaginary lights. - This is referring to the tour "Northern Lights Tour in Iceland from Reykjavik with PRO photos" I understand that when there are no auroras you cannot force nature and I would have understood that, what seems like a total scam to me is that lights are invented where there are none and treating the customer like a fool. Then they invent that their cameras were stolen and for that reason there are no photos. When requesting a refund, the cameras magically appear (of course 2 months later) and that is the date I am still waiting for the photos. Some thieves sell smoke without scruples.

Don’t….Do not book aurora tour with this company - They are bad people.
They don’t care about your experience and memory. They just want your money.
Photo done by staff is included in package, but they will give you all kinda reasons not to provide because it’s time consuming for them.
Trust me….. make sure you read other reviews.

If you are going in May,... - If you are going in May, do not waste your money. We drove around until 3am, saw nothing and cannot get a refund or credit toward another excursion.
