We loved it! - We went to the waterfalls in Materuni and the coffee farm. It was a great trip. The owner of the company Seka picked us from where we stayed and drove us to Materuni. He joined us for the trip. When we arrived in Materuni we meet our guide for this day. He was an inhabitant of the village with a great knowledge of English and even a little bit of german. First, we went for a walk for about 45 minutes to the waterfall. the guide explained to us about the different kinds of plants and for what they are used by his tribe, the chagga chagga. When we arrived at the waterfall it was an impressing picture. We could go into the water. And to be honest, if Seka did not go i would not go. But then I would miss the fresh, clean and really cold water. After the waterfall, we hiked to the coffee farm. There, first of all, we got a delicious lunch and then they showed us every step from the coffee bean to the finished coffee. We were also able to enjoy a cup of freshly brewed coffee. After the trip, Seka brought us back to our place where we stayed. All in all, it was a great experience and I would recommend it to other people. But you should be aware that Materuni is in a rainforest so you could get wet and muddy and the hiking gets a little bit tricky.
