Service par excellence - A group of 5 of us - all women in our 40s and 50s booked our adventure with Altezza and were vowed and impressed every step of the way. Right from the start of email communications, planning the trip with Victoria, all the way to gear check at the hotel with Doris and crew, we were mesmerized with service par excellence. We were treated like Royalty and every single detail looked into and question answered.
Our Kilimanjaro guides Justin, Julius and Marwa were like our angels and parents on the trip making sure we were ready and steady on the 6 day climb.
The chef Franck made sure we were fed healthy, hot and fresh meals every single day taking care of all our dietary restrictions.
The tent and portable toilet and shower team members, Athman and Saidi made our upgrades worthwhile and provided service straight from their hearts.
The dining room attendant Reginald provided all round support with a welcoming and charming smile every single day multiple times a day.
The entire team understood the true meaning of hospitality and went above and beyond our wildest imagination and expectation.
My personal porters Franael and Jackson made sure we were able to complete the climb effortlessly and successfully and provided much needed physical and logistical support on my descent from the summit.
Highly recommend Altezza for Mt. Kilimanjaro trip and for safari bookings as well.

Great trip with perfec service - It was a great experience. Perfect organization, friendly people and helping at every step of the journey. My luggage was delayed and Altezza gave me everything from sleeping bag to walking boots without charging anything. Really one of the best experiences in my life.

Altezza made my dream come true - For a once in a lifetime experience I'm so glad I chose the 'best in town' tour of operator. Rashi and his team made my dream come true and I'm so thankful for this. I climbed Kili my son and we both enjoyed every single moment of the hike. The whole organization was perfect and we always felt very safe along the way and at camps. The porters were all great, they are really fantastic peole whom we now call friends.

Kilimanjaro, Lemosho Route - Our team summited Mt Kilimanjaro on Jan 25th via the 7 day Lemosho route just in time for an incredible sunrise and perfect conditions.
I cannot say enough good things about @altezza.travel
They went above and beyond from start to finish. Sophia was our initial point of contact and booked everything for us. She was contactable throughout to answer any questions we had. Our lead guide Joshua and his team were kind, courteous and professional through out. We were blown away by the level of support that was provided to get us to the top. Medical checks were carried out on each team member each morning & evening and we received a full briefing each evening to prepare us for the next days hiking. Hot meals were provided 3 times a day, tea and snacks through out our hiking days and even a hot water bottle each before retiring for the night. The final push for the summit would not have been possible without the positivity & expertise of Joshua and his team.
Truly a VIP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️experience.

Great January Climb - I had a fantastic time with Altezza climbing Kilimanjaro! Top to bottom it was a pleasant and easy experience.
- The process on the front end of booking, payment, and getting information pre-climb was very easy. Between the Whatsapp and the emails, I felt confident I had all the necessary info going into the expedition.
- Airport pickup and transfer to hotel was seamless.
- Aisha hotel was lovely, the staff was professional, and it was easy to get the rental gear.
- The guides/porters for the climb were professional and excellent. Hance and Uhrio were both capable and friendly, and Hance was full of useful information about the plants/animals we saw, as well as the other mountain in the area we could see during the expedition. Jafvid as the tea server/waiter was probably the person we interacted with the most after the guides, and he was lovely as well.
- The medical checks were reassuring. The camp was clean, the toilet was well worth it and the toilet porter did fantastic. Kudos for him bringing that up and down the mountain for our comfort.
- Tents were spacious and comfortable. The sleeping bags were very warm. The camp mugs with our names and Altezza logo were an excellent touch.
- The food was delicious and diverse. My only complaint may be that there was too much of it! I felt bad sending some food back that I couldn't possibly eat more of.. felt like food waste, though we learned that it went back to the porters as well, so that was positive at least. No issues with food quality. Chef Yassan did a great job and frankly, I probably ate better during the expedition than I do here at home.
- Pace was good. we went as slow as the slowest member, which was fine for me. Hance routinely called back to check on us during the climb, during the breaks, and during the camp time.
- Summit night is as challenging as expected... but those views, that feeling of triumph at the top is well worth it.
- I think we all realize how fit the porters/guides are to climb multiple times a month.
- Return was easy and seamless. The hotel staff worked with me to transfer back to the airport quite early.
- The GPS link worked for family to track progress as I trekked. they reported no issues.
Overall, 9.5/10. I felt safe and as comfortable as could be expected during the expedition. Altezza's entire team was professional and friendly. I would highly recommend altezza to my friends and family for their own expedition of Kilimanjaro or safari one day.

Altezza is the only choice for Kili - Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro had been on my bucket list for 5 years, and I'm so glad I chose Altezza as my guide company!
The mountain guides were knowledgeable, helpful, and fun. They really shined on summit night (which is really the most crucial part), where their attentiveness and energy helped all 11 people in my group reach the summit! Shoutout to Team Buffalo!
Special thanks to Nelson, Khatibu, Emmanuel, Godfrey, and Ayubu for being amazing guides! And of course we couldn't have done it without the porters, cooks, and the rest of the crew.
All the ancillary features were great as well. The food was as good as it's going to get at 15,000+ feet of elevation, we had twice-daily medical checks to make sure everyone was doing ok, the sleeping bags were really warm, and the Aishi Machame hotel was a great place to prepare for the climb and then unwind afterwards.
I did the 7-day Lemosho route, which I think is a good length and route. If you're fit, you could easily do the 6-day trek as well
Would definitely recommend Altezza to anyone looking to climb Kili!

Thanks Altezza for a wonderful climb! - My husband and I decided to challenge ourselves with this adventure in January 2025. We are both regular hikers, and he had nearly reached the summit about 30 years ago. We are in our 50’s and 60’s respectively. We kind of knew what we were getting ourselves into. Although he now swears the mountain got higher and the climb more difficult!
We booked with Altezza Travel and it is without question the best company to go with. We had the absolute most wonderful and amazing guides and crew. (Our lead guide was Oswald Silaa) They are all extremely professional and knowledgable and they make sure every last detail is addressed. They care about your safety and monitor each person very carefully. They are patient and take the time to answer any and all questions (and our group had lots).
On day three I managed to get dehydrated and feared that I would not recover well enough to continue. Osward helped me and gave me very clear instructions. I followed them, and to my surprise, I was fully recovered the next morning. The rest of the hike up to the summit was without issue for us (except for the obvious…yes, this is NOT easy). All 11 in our group reached the summit and took lots of pictures at Uhuru Peak. It was a lovely sunrise and a crisp and clear morning! It made it all worth while.
The hike down was actually much more difficult for us. It is a steep decline and there is not much time for rest. It took a toll on my knees and my husband’s legs. Without the support and encouragement of the guides, we would have been in real trouble. We will always remember the kindness and strength of all of the staff at Altezza as a significant part of our experience. The food was also incredible and the snacks and hot tea provided daily on each hike are important touches that will be appreciated by any climber. If you are considering Kilimanjaro, don’t hesitate to book with this company. Also, do it now! You’re not getting any younger! (Haha) Lastly, do yourself a huge favor and rent a toilet!!! Well worth the extra money for so many reasons.
