Absolutely amazing - Outstanding experience with an outstanding team. If you want to hike Kilimanjaro you should go with Altezza Travel. The service from initial enquiry through to the end of our trip was faultless. They have all the information you need and a deep understanding of what a great experience looks like when doing such a big trip like this one. The team who took us up the mountain were amazing - the food was great, the tents and our gear were well managed and always waiting for us on arrival at the next camp. Highly professional. A group of 10 of us all summited, and when one of our friends felt ill on the way down they looked after her with a huge amount of care and attention until the chopper came to take her down. From the crew on the ground (thank-you Doris and Stacy!) to the leader on the hike we could not have asked for more. Kilimanjaro Climb - I have done many trips around the world with many tour companies. Altezza was exceptional. The Kilimanjaro climb was supported in a manner that exceeded my expectations in every respect - the meals, the attention to the condition of the climbers continuously (blood oxygen and pulse rate etc). Very highly recommend them. I am going to use the again soon!

Kilimanjaro Lemosho 7 day route- oct4-12’24 - Had an excellent time with altezza during my visit to Kilimanjaro, Lemosho 7 day route. I would definitely recommend Altezza for folks planning Kilimanjaro hike. Justin and his team were exceptional and very friendly and we had an awesome time hiking Kili. Special mention to Declan, Hilton, Osano, Godfrey , they made sure everyone was comfortable through the 7days and paid special attention to anyone with minor inconveniences like adjusting their bag, carrying water bottles for them when needed. They were good at communicating what is expected of the team for each of the days and shared their Kilimanjaro hiking tales and their experiences living in Tanzania. The food provided was delicious and we got to taste variety of local specials for lunch and dinner. Altezza was able to entertain last moment requests and did offer couple of items rent free as well. Altezza was able to provide portable bathroom later on second day , as we Initially decided not to go for it and later repented it the very first night. The money spent on the portable toilet is totally worth it and would recommend it.

top notch, unique and eight more friends! - This was a once in lifetime trip to the summit of Kilimanjaro! 27.10.2024: Lemosho-Route (7 Tage): the selection of the Team was exceptional: Nestory (chief guide: my peakmaster and the soul of the team), Moody (summit guide), Goodluck (cook: food was outstanding, bravo!), John (waiter), Amini, Don, Rejoyce and Twaha (porter) .....and outstanding team from the start on....always there and ready to help and with a good spirit. they always had a smile on their faces! Motto: one team one dream,yeah!! and go on with p.m.a. = positive mentally attitude. These guys are my heroes. what a seven day/night walk, unforgettable! ...and now I have eight more friends! Altezza are amazing!! - I only have praise for Altezza and their wonderful staff. Their motto "we're here for you" was absolutely true. This was a wonderful adventure but for me very physically challenging, especially summit day, and this company take things safely and professionally. Thanks Stan, Uerio, Mosha, Bosco, Nasaro and all other guides, porters, cooks, waitering and support staff - I am not sure I would have achieved summit without you.

Simply the best! - A truly wonderful and memorable trip. The trek was brilliant, but it was the Altezza team that made the experience truly exceptional. Altezza were incredibly responsive from the point of booking and could not have been more helpful and welcoming throughout the 7 days on the mountain. The guides and porters were exceptional from start to finish - ensuring that everyone enjoyed the experience as much as possible (but not at the expense of our health and safety, which was taken very seriously). Cannot recommend enough!!

Amazing Experience - From start to finish Altezza did an amazing job helping us plan and execute our Kili hike. Our Altezza planner Sophia answered every question we had quickly and thoroughly and her guidance was impeccable. Our head guide Peter went above and beyond and kept us focused on our goal while always feeling safe and cared for in every way and the rest of the staff was amazing as well. I truly can’t say enough good things about Altezza, Sophia, Peter and the rest of the team - I highly recommend them without exception.

Once in a lifetime experience with an absolutely top notch company - I cannot rate them highly enough. - The entire team at Altezza were wonderful, incredibly professional, kind and compassionate. They made the trip thoroughly enjoyable and an experience I'll never forget - I cannot rate the staff highly enough. Myself and a friend joined a group of 11 other like-minded people - Altezza clearly did a great job of matching endurance and general fitness levels as the whole group gelled really well and summited together. Our lead guide Abraham was fantastic and so knowledgeable - I would (and did) trust that man and all the guides with my life. Special shout out to Alexi who completely changed my experience on summit night when I was struggling with altitude symptoms and he demonstrated such compassion. The team are dedicated to ensuring you summit safely and also enjoy the journey! Every single member of the Altezza team on the mountain were flawless - I only wish we had taken more USD to tip them more. Top tips for climbing - Altezza are a stunning company to use, I cannot rate them highly enough! - Renting a portable loo is a gamechanger. - I don't think snacks are necessary to carry with you as the team feeds you so well but if you are a chocolate fiend, a couple of bars wouldn't go amiss. - A flannel, moisturising face cream with SPF and lip balm meant we felt human despite the lack of showers!

Absolutely Outstanding! Hakuna Matata, One Team One Dream, Non Stop to the Top!!! - I successfully summited the Roof of Africa with a friend on 19th October and I honestly cannot say enough good things about Altezza and the fantastic team who took us all the way to the top! We were in Team Giraffe superbly lead by Stanford and supported by his wonderful fellow guides Joseph B, Nasorro and Innocent who were all so friendly, chatty, knowledgeable, motivating and immensely patient! Brian, who is a guide in training I believe, was also very helpful and supportive. We really enjoyed our chats and all the Swahili lessons - we had a lot of laughs! The phenomenal team of the Camp Master, super strong Porters, Stomach Engineers (brilliant chefs Kazimoto and Evans), Waiters (the very attentive and kind Davidi and Anton) and everyone else behind the scenes, including Ann who stood out as the only lady in the crew, also cannot be forgotten. A very special mention goes to Onbeni who held my hand and supported me all the way down the brutal descent from Stella Point. All the singing and dancing by the team was such a joy too and so motivating on the relentless uphill stretches and to be welcomed back after descent to the camp crew all standing in the rain serenading us was incredibly special. From the minute we contacted Altezza and heard back from Sophia within minutes, we knew we had made absolutely the best decision! We had been let down by a UK based company who cancelled our booking with just 3 months to go and, as we were bound to the dates we had booked, we had to find a suitable alternative asap. The professionalism, attention to detail and kindness throughout has been absolutely brilliant and I have no doubt this contributed fully to our successful summit. Nothing was missed or too much trouble and there always someone there whenever you needed anything saying "I am here for you" (before you even knew you needed it sometimes!). The food was outstanding and thankfully I didn't suffer at all from loss of appetite and enjoyed all the meals immensely! I'm still astounded at the quality and variety of meals that were produced every day and amazed that I didn't actually put on weight as I ate so much! And of course, the divine Altezza hot water bottle bunnies were a lifesaver and it was such a lovely touch to receive one as a memento on our return to the hotel. At all times we felt safe, well informed and so very well looked after! The private toilet my friend and I shared was also absolutely the best decision! Thanks so much to the toilet attendant of toilet number 2 (I unfortunately didn't get his name). 100% worth the extra cost, not only for the obvious benefit of avoiding the less than desirable public facilities, but also as a place to stand and have a strip wash with the lovely bowl of hot water provided each day when we got to camp. The Aishi Machame hotel is fabulous and everyone is so friendly and helpful! We arrived late on the Saturday night to a warm welcome from the driver Joseph who collected us from the airport as well as Thembi and the other reception staff at the hotel. The very lovely Agnes took us through our briefing the next day, gave us some very helpful tips as she had done the Lemosho route herself and checked all our gear. We hired the Altezza sleeping bags which were very warm and cosy but we soon realised that out 90L duffel bag that our original company had recommended was not big enough. Agnes then very kindly provided the fantastic Altezza duffel bag for us free of charge. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the a la carte menu very good too. The restaurant / bar area is lovely and the blue monkeys that frequented the huge tree were delightful to watch. We also really appreciated the late check out on the Monday after our climb! We were only leaving at 5pm and we were allowed to stay in our room until 3pm which was great and so helpful! We were driven to the airport by Elsyria who was also very friendly and helpful (apologies as I know I've spelt her name wrong). I have absolutely no hesitation recommending Altezza wholeheartedly and cannot thank everyone enough! I only wish we could have stayed longer and gone on Safari after our climb. Next time!!!
