Marangu Route: Easiest Trekking on Kilimanjaro

Marangu Route offers a slow, steady climb to each of the daily camps, which has given it the reputation for being the easiest trekking route on Kilimanjaro. Don’t underestimate this trail however, as the approach to the final camp can be physically demanding with roughly 1000 meters of vertical gain on that day alone.

Best Tour Company in Tanzania - One of the best experiences we ever had in our lives. They made sure everything went smoothly and were very well prepared for any situation. All the guides/porters/cooks we had for the Killimanjaro hike and the safari were sooooo nice and friendly. It is also one of the few local companies, so if you want to support a local business definitely choose Killimanjaro Heroes Adventures.

"Piece of cake" - A few weeks ago we returned from Tanzania from our Kilimanjaro expedition. We decided to do the 6 days Marangu route. We chose Kilimanjaro Heroes Adventures as our adventure organizers. From the very beginning, we had great contact with Evarist via the Internet. In Moshi we met the employees who took us to the hotel where we met our guides Siza and Goodluck who presented us with the plan of the trip and checked if we had the necessary things. The next day after breakfast we met the rest of the team: Marck - an amazing cook, we had different dishes and amazing soups every day, Joshua - the waiter who took care of us so that we didn't run out of anything during meals and 4 very helpful porters, Stephan, Omary, Living, Ramadan. Our adventure has begun. Thanks to this group of wonderful people who helped us over these few days, we managed to fulfill our dream and get to the top. The guides motivated us all the way, huge portions and great food and lots of small details made us stronger. The guys really helped us as much as they could. I'm glad we chose Kilimanjaro Heroes because thanks to them we had an amazing adventure and fun. Thanks a lot.

Reliable, fun and well organised - We hiked to Kilimanjaro (group of 5) via Machame Route, a 6 day trek. The guides and porters came on time to pick us up (so unusual in Africa!). Everything was perfectly organised! The tents and all gear were of very good quality. The porters were really fast and put up the tents and cooked food usually before we reached the camp (and we weren't slow!) We were never hungry, and even got fruit daily. Our guides Mwinyi, Nyokaa and Calvin were amazing, and looked after us just as if we were their friends and family. They were professional, but also fun and really helped us prepare for the summit. We had a comparison with other hiker team and seriously Kili Heroes were just that - the heroes for us. I wouldn't hesitate to ever go with them somewhere again, a great, reliable team which made us feel so welcome in Tanzania. Love you guys! Asante sana.

Dream team : Incredible and unique experience - Marangu Route : 6 days We booked a 6 days ascent via Marangu route and were in contact with Ervarist. Ervarist is very helpful, he was answering all our questions very quickly and in details. We had Gaspard and Emmanuel as guides : We were extremely lucky to have them during this adventure. Since day one, they were very professional, helpful at all times, smiling all the way and teaching us some swahili words and nature-related topics. We had long and very interesting and enriching discussions. Gaspard is very passionnate, commited with all his heart as a guide and will teach you everything you need to know about each of the landscapes you will pass through, I owe him a lot. Emmanuel is a great mentor, a master of words and will definitely give you strenght and motivation to reach the summit. They were our true support, and for sure, made this adventure a pure moment of happiness, laugh, conviviality, in a nutshell, an unforgettable human experience. Our team, porters, waiter Davido, cook, were amazing as well. An experience under the sign of perfection, with a team who’s dedication goes beyond words. Thank you for everything, my Tanzanian family. From Zaïna, with love, Forever grateful and thankful for you.
