Chaga cultural home visit with waterfall hike - I really enjoyed this daytrip and learning about the Chaga tribe. Getting a tour from someone from this town who is embedded in the culture and history was fascinating, and I really enjoyed the cultural aspects of the coffee plantation, including the process as well as ritual chanting surrounding it. It was much more than I expected and I was thrilled with everything. He really went above and beyond in showing me what I was interested in and tailoring the trip to me.

Recommended - Booked spontaneously the night before. Bonuses (the guide) can be easily reached with questions by phone and WhatsApp. The tour with bonuses as guide and Steven as rider was great. We had a wonderful time. Lunch there was incredibly delicious and a great culinary foray into African cuisine.

Wonderful Waterfall, Coffee and Tour Guide - We were looking for something to help us acclimate for our hike up Kilimanjaro and get over a bit of jet lag. We found Bony and booked a waterfall and coffee plantation tour. While we knew it would be interesting it turned out to be an absolutely FANTASTIC day. Several things made it special. One was riding up the mountain in a tuk-tuk. The sights from the tuk-tuk made us feel more immersed in the experience. Another highlight was being in a small group of two with our own guide and driver, which allowed us to do things at our own pace without the rush of keeping up with a tour group. We stopped when we wanted and walked when we wanted, taking time to admire art, ant colonies, slugs, chameleons, people carrying massive loads on their heads, and enjoy the fresh air and waterfall. We went at a very comfortable pace. Bony was full of information and stories, and he was a wonderful guide. We enjoyed learning and participating in the entire coffee-making process, including pounding, roasting, and brewing the coffee. It was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively with singing and drums as we worked. Lunch introduced us to several local specialties, many made from bananas. Bony and the driver Steven were attentive to our every need. We had such a great time with them that we continued the afternoon with a tour around Moshi, visiting the market and a tailor. Bony is a hardworking, kind person, passionate about Tanzania, sharing information, and answering our questions. We highly recommend Bony for those who want the extra attention often unavailable in larger group tours. We were very happy at the end of the day.

Fantastic day filled with fun and learning - We had an absolutely amazing day with Boni. First we received walking sticks and started our journey to the waterfall. Boni pointed out many plants, animals and village things on the way and gave us a very nice commentary. He also knew the best photo places. When we came back to the village we had a fantastic coffee tour. We made our own coffee from the scratch = peeling, roasting and grinding beans, all the traditional way and with local singing. Finally, we had a delicious lunch cooked by one of the village ladies and finished off with banana beer (extra cost). We also bought some souvenirs there, the people were not pushy at all so it fell really nice. I highly recommend the tour. Thank you, Boni!
