Fantastic experience. Highly recommend. Hike, waterfall, coffee, souvenirs, and meal were great. Thanks Boni! - The waterfall is awesome. Prepare for a little of the waterfall to blow off on you when you approach it. The hike there is also pretty fantastic, but be prepared for rainy weather (just rent the boots in this case).
My favorite part of your was hanging with Boni and making my own coffee from beginning to end with in and his friends. Worth noting, the souvenirs you can buy there are far better priced than what you’ll find in Moshi.
At the end of the tour, we had a delicious local meal together in Boni’s village that is highly recommend.
Overall, great tour and experience. I enjoyed it all and would recommend to all. Boni is exactly what you want in a tour guide with the way he carries himself, and I appreciate him sharing his life in his village with me.

Amazing, authentic... - Amazing, authentic experience!! The tour is well-planned and the local lunch and coffee demonstration are unique and delicious. My guide Boni and driver Billy were both great - very personable, kind and shared a lot about the local area, they truly made this a memorable day. Travelled solo and also got to meet other nice people on the tour which was great. Highly recommend!

Awesome experience! - I have to say, this was truly a wonderful experience – a total surprise and a genuine local experience. My guide, Baraka was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He helped me along the muddy path to the waterfall. The coffee tour itself was really interesting, and everyone there was extremely friendly. The food was fantastic too! I can wholeheartedly recommend this experience. Also my driver was super lovely and showed me lots of different plants along the way. I had a lot of fun!

Amazing Experience for Nature and Culture in Moshi - This is experience is a really great combination of beautiful nature and learning about Chagga culture and coffee production. My guide was named Innocent and he did an amazing job. He pointed out tons of plants and animals along our hike and we had a lot of great conversation. The coffee experience was very interesting and fun, even for someone who is not a huge coffee lover, and the lunch was really nice.

A must experience in Kilimanjaro / Moshi area. - Boni is a handsome 27 year old offering a great affordable experience. He organized a boss boda (motorcycle) to pick me up. The driver was great, as was the experience of heading up rural hilly / mountain roads on a motorcycle. We went to the waterfall (great 90m), had a full lunch (rice, beans, banana soup, beef stew, spinach) and then did the coffee making. I bought $60 of coffee, a banana leaf picture. Of course, there is a selling-buying moment but they were not pushy (very important). Got back on motorcycle and home (tipped driver there and back). A must before leaving Kilimanjaro /Moshi. Thank you, Boni!

Coffee lovers go for it - After my Kilimandscharo trip I wanted to relax a bit and ended up here. Didn't expect much for $37 and thought they just want to sell some local handcrafted stuff. Well, I was wrong. For sure they tried but a first no thanks was accepted.
Pickup at the hotel 9:30 sharp with some Chinese motorcycle. It was fun for me but I'm not sure if everyone would like it. The dirt road part was challenging but it was almost dry.
Once arrived l got a short introduction about the plan for the day and after another short drive we reached the coffee farm. Innocent, the guide, explained the whole process and took all the time needed. I had a lot of questions and he was happy to answer them all.
Then we had the hands on part from the already dried beans to the coffee powder, including getting off the shell, roasting and grinding. And yes at the end we had four cups of coffee. Then we hiked to the waterfall. Could be difficult if it's really wet. You better don't wear your white sneakers. Short bath and then back to the village. Here we had s good lunch with a soup as starter, then two types of rice, beef stew, beans, potatoes, green bananas and spinach (very good). Lastly some fruit. In the tour description it says 5 hrs. I was back in the hotel at 15:15.
I really enjoyed it and would recommend it for every coffee lover.
I had the "Banana Beer", it's more like a cider. Not my favorite.

Beautiful Trip to Materuni Waterfalls - We had a really good trip to the Materuni Waterfall with Boni. We took the pick up options with the bikes, which was a bumpy ride but fun nontheless. Afterwards we made our own Coffee which was a unique experience. The Waterfall was definetly the highlight of the tour where we took a swim in the cold Kilimanjaro water. On the way there and back we hiked through the beautiful nature while our guide explained a lot about the local plants and traditions. The lunch was also really delicious. We can absolutley recommend this Trip!

Authentic! - Amazing local and very authentic experience :) beautiful and easy waterfall hike. Very tasty coffee and lunch. Innocent one of the three guides knows a lot about the chagga way of life and the surroundings as he grew up and has lived in this village all his life. Can only recommend!
