The journey there alone is interesting- driving through Maasai land, past bomas and young warriors herding cattle. You will find yourself wondering how on earth you could find this lush place in such a dry land, scattered with Baobab trees and acacias… and then you will come upon this tropical little paradise full of palms and crystal clear waters. The warm (not necessarily hot!) and fresh waters are great for a relaxing swim and you can picnic under the trees, sometimes along with a group of vervet monkeys. Spend as long or as little as you would like here taking in great views of both Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro before returning to Arusha

For the Materuni Waterfalls & Coffee Tour you’ll visit a coffee farm and learn about how coffee is grown, harvested and processed. You’ll try your hand at roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee the Chagga way. Also you will have short and enjoyable hike through the hills and valleys en route to the Materuni Waterfalls.
