Arusha: Materuni Waterfall, Coffee and Hotsprings - amazing tour guide Baltazary! *pick up on time *special request cake for my mom’s birthday was done and song congratulation from all the people in coffee house made my mom so happy *careful driving *perfect time management *answer all possible questions about Tanzania and not only from me and mom *super positive attitude, very kind person about the tour: waterfall looks awesome, easy to reach, perfect location for photos (take your swimsuit with you if you want to swim next to waterfall) better to go during dry season; in coffee place they will show you how to make coffee from scratch - all steps from collecting beans to putting powder into hot water; hot springs - beautiful location with clear water, jumping rope and good people around (better go on week day, weekends busy with locals) we thank Baltazary for making this day so special for us!

Great experience - Our guide Baltazary was very eager to answer all our questions and explain us even more. The waterfall is very beautiful and without real endurance to reach. The coffee tour is on the way back and it was a unique experience to see how the coffee and the culture meet. The Hot Springs are a nice finish and also really nice to swim.

Perfect day. Period. - We've had a lovely day with our guide Frank who was a relaxed guy (all Hakuna Matata and Poa Poa😄), a skilled driver and really friendly! At first we thought that the activity seemed a little bit packed for one day but it was totally fine! The short hike to the impressive Materuni waterfall is not really hard and the total distance is about 5-6 kilometers round-trip. The waterfall pool was (at least for our taste) a little cold to take a bath, but we witnessed people do it. Along the way you'll find some people selling souvenirs but it's not a problem to pass them (Jambo, Asante etc). Also you'll have the opportunity to let a chameleon sit on your hand. The coffee experience was really fun, just don't be shy and try to participate in singing and dancing. Also the coffee was really delish as was the food (mostly veg!). If you want to support them further, just buy stuff from their small gift shop at muzungu price😊 Later we went to the Materuni hot springs (aka Chemka hot springs) which we found to be a very beautiful experience. In general we can say that we've had a perfect day!

Wonderful coffee and guide - Balthazar was very kind and helpful during the hike, and the coffee tour was wonderful! As a warning, this hike is quite steep and precarious in places - I would not recommend for people afraid of heights or beginning hikers.
