Highlights
  • Rundugai - Join us for a visit to an authentic Maasai village. Unlike many other villages in the area that are set up for tourists, Kambi ya Chooka is a genuine village established by local Maasai people.

We begin our journey early in the morning with our English-speaking guide. The route takes us through stunning landscapes: African bushland featuring dried-up riverbeds, baobab and acacia trees, and sugar cane plantations.

Your English-speaking guide will assist you and translate into Kimaasai, as the Maasai do not speak other languages.

As you walk through the village with your guide, you will gain insights into Maasai culture. This includes a lesson on traditional Maasai medicine and a chance to taste local Maasai tea. We will also have the opportunity to visit a Maasai home.

  • Kikuletwa Hotsprings - In the early afternoon, we will leave the village and head to the Kikuletwa Hot Springs, located near the village of Rundugai. The Kikuletwa Hot Springs are among the most beautiful spots in Tanzania – surrounded by fig and palm trees and winding roots, it’s a true hidden paradise. The crystal-clear, turquoise waters are perfect for a refreshing swim. Despite being called a hot spring, the water in Kikuletwa is not hot but rather refreshing, as it comes from Mount Kilimanjaro.

After a swim, we will enjoy a picnic lunch. Once we are fully relaxed, we will return to Moshi in the late afternoon.

Amazing day with a spectacular guide - A true sample of excellent tour guide. Alpha is such a warm personality and highly motivated guide (recommendable!). I truly enjoyed walking the 4 of us through the area. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relieve to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The natural bath on the end was a great way to end the tour.

A magical experience I’ll never forget!!!! - Easily one of the most incredibly magical experiences of my life and I travel a lot. Alpha (the tour guide) is kind, caring and very intelligent. He made sure I was enjoying every second. We traveled to his family’s village and spent a few hours there learning about the culture, history and getting to know the tribe. It is important to note that it did not feel that the village was exploited in any way. I did my due diligence ahead and that is how I found Alpha. I did a private tour and I felt very comfortable and I was welcomed by them with open arms. I felt like I was with family. We danced and laughed so much! The kids melted my heart with their pure innocence and beautiful smiles. They all loved taking pictures with me and looking at them on the phone after. It was a great bonding experience. We then left the village and stopped at the hot springs for lunch and a dip. Alpha knew everyone and I felt like we were VIPs! The lunch was delicious and lots of food. The hot springs are a hidden oasis paradise and the pictures will never do it justice. I can’t stop looking and my pics and vids of the day. My heart is so very happy. Do yourself a favor… do this tour! I cannot wait to join Alpha on another tour!! Asante sana, Alpha!!

Memorable family trip in Tanzania with ALPHA - Oserok trips is not just a Safari company it's a person who carries his whole country and its people in his heart. Alpha shares it all with us with attention, respect and love. My daughter booked a 4 days trip with Alpha which included Ngorongo park, Manyara lake, Tarangire park and a visit at Apha's family Maasaï village. We enjoyed every second of it and Apha was there every step of the way, responding to all our requests and even beyond our expectations. Accommodations were amazing, authentic and our hosts so kind and entirely dedicated to our well being. Many thanks to our driver Bryan for his professionalism and kindness, we felt safe on the roads with him. Do not hesitate and call Alpha if you want your safari to be memorable. Gigi

Amazing authentic experience - We’ve spent two days with Alpha, first to the Materuni waterfalls and coffee making experience with the chaga people. On the second day, we went to the Maasai village and kikuletwa hit spring. We had an amazing time. Everything you can ask for when discovering a new place. Alpha is a very nice, arranging, and welcoming person that leads a very beautiful company with great values. Everything was perfectly organized in a very professional yet authentic way. We’ve been able to discover the nature and exchange with the local communities, a fantastic human experience. I highly recommend oserok trips.

Kikuletwa Hot Springs - I decided to go on my own on the Hotspring day trip and I was so pleased to meet one of the kindest Tanzanian (Alpha). I was in contact with him prior to my arrival in Moshi and he suggested me with a cheap, well-located and nice backpacker hostel in the centre. He picked me up from the bus station, walked me to the hostel and we discussed next day plan for Hotspring tour. I told him I was vegetarian and truly appreciated that he made sure that I would still have a very yummy lunch (included in the tour). On the way to the Hotspring, we discussed lifestyle and culture which was very interesting, considering that Alpha is Maasai so he taught me so much about his culture. During the day, he made sure that I was happy with the place, he also took some pictures for me as I was solo travelling. I am very glad that I booked this tour through his company and I look forward to coming back. I recommended two French girls to do the waterfall trip with him and they thanked me because they loved the quality of the tour, transparency on price and kindness as well.

Best safari with a true Tanzanian company ! - We've spent 7 days safari trip with Oserok team and it was really unforgettable, only good vibes and friendship ! Alpha the owner and also Masai guide, was really involved in our trip and always check if everything was fine for us. He did not stop to the trip we've booked, he helped us to organise our visit to Arusha art gallery or day trip to waterfalls and hot springs. He was easy to contact before, during, and even after the journey. We spent the safari with Siya and Ahmad. Siya is an amazing guide and driver for Safari, he knows every place, every path to find animals. He sees them very before you and always give you time to stay just watching. He's respectful of the nature you can see he loves it. He's also very kind and we now know why he's got so many friends everywhere on the road. Thanks for the big 5 and the cheetahs ! Ahmad, the chief, is able to cook for you a different and delicious meal each day in the middle of nowhere, so great ! After a long day driving, it was such a pleasure to have Ahmad's fresh food on the table, thank you too 😉 Beyond this, what we appreciate the most is that we didn't feel like in a tourist trip, they adapted to us all the time, no stress... By the way, Oserok trips is one of the rare Tanzanian safaris company, and that means a lot. If you decide to support Alpha, you will see directly where your money is going, to local people, that make definitely more sense to your travel. Thank you guys, long life and prosperity to Oserok Trips, you definitely deserve it

Best guide ever - Alpha is the best guide ever. Very nice, professional and he knows his country so well. It’s the first time I let someone organize my trip and everything was sooo perfect. And his team Is just as amazing as him especially Siya (the best guide driver) and Ahmadi (the beet cooker). We did almost all the activities he proposes and we were never disappointed!! You can book him without any hesitation !!
