A wonderful excursion with a perfect guide - Samwel picked us up on time at 7.00h at our apartment. Even the trip to Materuni by off-road vehicle was an experience. On the short hike Samwel explained the plants along the way. The waterfall was impressive. At the coffee farm we were shown the steps of production from bean to ground coffee. We were able to roast and prepare our own coffee. Tasted very good, just like the subsequent lunch. Samuel was a competent guide, helpful and always in good spirits. Thank you for this lovely day.

A recent review from 2023-01-13 captures the essence of this experience:
Expectations by far exceeded - We just came back from a coffee tour with Eli and Max. Firstly, we walked with Eli through the city of Moshi to the roastery and he provided us with a lot of information about local life and customs. The way back we had a fun tuktuk ride. Arriving at the roastery, we learned everything of the process from harvesting of the fruit to the ground coffee. We saw and touched the beans at the different stages and enjoyed a live roasting. We talked about auction strategies (it‘s like poker), the global coffee market, starbucks and much more. Max was so knowledgeable and willing to share his treasure of knowhow. We could feel his passion in every sentence and we highly recommend joining on of the tours while you are in Moshi
